in the meantime, a manchester man may face a number of charges after allegedly kidnapping his girlfriend. good evening. i'm shelley walcott. tom: and i'm tom griffith. londonderry police say victor rosario forced the victim out of her office building into his car. shelley: the two were later found in massachusetts. wmur's jean mackin live in londonderry tonight with the details. reporter: tonight londonderry , police say alert citizens help the couple in worcester. we're told the girlfriend is not not hurt. the suspect in this possible kidnapping was questioned and released but charges could be coming. londonderry police received a 911 call at 3:45 this afternoon from the ecco usa corporate office on delta drive and the shoe manufacturer is near the manchester boston regional airport. the caller reported that this man 22-

, building and dragged out his girlfriend by the arm, there was no report of a weapon. >> based on the reports, it appears she was forcibly removed from the building and into the vehicle. the 911 caller went out to help her but the suspect took off. reporter: police used a description of the car and partial plate to identify the vehicle using social media to , ask the public to help find the 1996 red honda police say one of those tips led civic. police say one of those tips led them to believe rosario was traveling out of state. cellho police say the girlfriend was with rosario and she was not hurt. >> mass state police stopped and she was determined to be ok. the suspect was detained and questioned. the investigation continues and he faces several potential charges pending the outcome of the full investigation. reporter: police say he could face kidnapping and

girlfriend tonight, and also say the child the two have together was not involved in this incident in any way. shelley: thank you for the update. if switching gears to talk about the weather, it is a stormy night across the granite state. live look right now in colebrook. a very chilly 37 degrees. chief meteorologist mike haddad is here to let us know who will see rain or snow. mike: m part of the state. if you're and hired to rain, over 1000 feet, experiencing heavy precipitation, that is where you like -- find the snow. places like ottumwa, washington. also marlow, those areas pickup anywhere from one to four inches of snow. especially up over 1200 feet. everyone else well above the freezing mark.

potential of early snowfall and say it is a great sign of the ski season to come. >> this is a busy time of year for us, everyone is excited. cherise: greg kwasnik has spent five winters working at loon mountain resort, he's hoping a little october snowfall is a sign of good things to come for the season. >> typically we do not see a lot of snow in october. anytime we see white stuff falling it gets us excited. reporter: flurries blanketed the top of loon mountain. they hope more will coat the mountains tonight. >> there is no snow now, but wait a couple days. cherise: but the resort will need to wait before they start of and make their own snow. typically they need consecutive

>> are still makers have been busy today looking up to the season -- system. when we get cold weather, they can turn it on pretty quickly. cherise: but kwasnik says fun fall snow like tonight's gets people thinking about the ski season ahead especially , after a milder winter last year. >> people are very excited. they are just really primed to come up. and have fun. come skiing and snowboarding. cherise: they say it definitely will be open before thanksgiving. we are following disturbing news out of the town of kingston. last month, as people's wells were running dry from the drought, they were allowed to get water from a spigot at the fire department. but now it turns out that water is contaminated.

uncovered a brand-new problem. last month, people lose wells i've run dry in the town of kingston were told they could get water from this survey get at the fire department. but today the department shows elevated levels of the contaminant, pf away. people here are shocked. >> we're surprised because we had it tested in april. and in april it came back as usable water. but more recent had 140 parts per trillion of pfoa, which is above normal. it also showed the presence of other pfc's. a spokesman for des says so far, the source of the contaminants is a mystery. >> we really do not know what the source of the pfoa's and pfc's are. shelley: they urge people to stay,. >> there is no reason for panic.

they do not even know if this has a health affect. shelley: people who still need water can get it down the road from the spaghetti at the library. >> it has been tested and does not have levels that we are aware of. shelley: people who live near the fire department who want their well water tested can fill out a request form on the department of environmental services website. tom: to commitment 2016 now. republican vice presidential nominee mike pence is ok tonight after the plane he was on slid off a nw landed at new york's laguardia airport. pence say he is fine and no one on board appears to be hurt. we're about a week and a half away from the general election and tonight the candidates for u.s. senate faced off. republican senator kelly ayotte and democrat, governor maggie hassan took part in a debate on n.h. one news. the candidates went back and forth about bi-partisanship and higher education.

hickey, it started with an encounter with a stranger who came to the fire house for help, and an e-mail to the chief, who sent it to the mayor. seven months later, it has helped nearly 600 people. it's an access point, the beginning of a long journey. that starts with a short walk next door to serenity place. an outpatient program that's been doing recovery work in the queen city for 40 years. >> we just want to meet people where they are at. reporter: executive director stephanie bergeron cautions against premature celebration over safe station success. the success rate is on the >>the success rate is on the back end. where are they now, what's happening, we need to demonstrate that. reporter: new hampshire ranks at the bottom nationally when it comes to access to treatment. according to the department of health and

that's a 25% increase since february 2015. >> high-intensity treatment is necessary, and we do not have enough beds. but that does not equate treatment. >> how are you doing? reporter: steven is 56. he is addicted to alcohol and has been sleeping on the streets for three weeks. he arrived with a gift for the syrup. firefighters see it as a cry for help and respond. >> i need to make a change. reporter: a coalition of caregivers surround him in minutes. he will get a bed at helping hands and recovery support during the day at serenity place. the seamless response is kind

fdny in the bronx want to know how manchester did it and what the cost is and how it works. >> we are saving lives, i can guarantee you that. reporter: the crisis in new hampshire is still very much a crisis. and stephanie bergeron believes the medical community is discriminating and complicating how patients get care. >> anyone should be able to go to their primary care or an emergency room and say i'm having a problem with addiction. it should not be a struggle, it should be incorporated into your whole health. reporter: but until that happens these organizations are determined to save every life they can. >> you can come here are 1000 times, we do not care. we always say you are a client forever. >> this is opening people's eyes as far as what communities are capable of doing when they all sit at the same table. reporter: most safe station admissions in manchester happen right here at

hospitals and the er when pains of withdrawal set in. hospital officials say admissions have skyrocketed and the cost of hospital detox runs over $2000 a day. they call it an inefficient use of resources. shelley: next week will mark six months for safe stations. so far, more than 650 people have come to manchester's fire stations for help. just 20% have been return participants. and they come from every corner of the state, people from 85 communities have made their way to these safety nets in the queen city. >> now, chief meteorologist mike haddad with your storm watch 9 forecast. mike: it has been falling in the form of snow in higher elevations. especially now, up

precipitation falling in the form of snow may mix with wet flakes in the next couple hours. primarily rain across a good part of central and southern new hampshire. that includes the coast, already a half inch of rain in concord and a third of an inch in manchester. you get right through the presidential range into the great north woods, the more will pile up between now and midday tomorrow. a lot of energy with this storm. it now entering central portions of new york state. you can see the showers intensifying right here. what set energy hits western portions of new england, it will cause of the rain and snow to intensify during the predawn hours and commute tomorrow. some parts of new hampshire could get an inch and a half of

temperatures right now well above freezing statewide. the roadways are in fine shape except for the fact -- especially once the rain intensifies in the commute. cold air building in while mild air is chasing the system from south to north. eventually, mixed precipitation in the higher terrain goes over to just plain rain. slick conditions from be slick due to this. heavy patches of rain until mine :00 or 10 in a -- 10:00 -- 9:00 or 10:00. a few scattered showers. winds crank up up to 30 to 40 miles per hour. could lead to scattered outages. saturday, outages mostly in the

the merrimack high school volleyball team. she recently broke the new hampshire state record for career blocks with over 270 and counting. she is 17, vice president of her senior class, member of that honor society, volunteers her time to the community. she's committed to play division one volleyball at the university of delaware next year. >> it is the only sport that has been the t where you have to rely on every single teammate. the way it works, i knew it was what i wanted to do. jamie: good luck. tryouts for the chad battle of the badges hockey game team fire and then team police on the ice tonight, trying to see who will make the rosters for the big game. it is a milestone year, number they have raised $1.7 million 10. for chad in the first 9 years.
