found in massachusetts. wmur's jean mackin live in londonderry tonight with the details. reporter: tonight londonderry , police say alert citizens helped lead them to the car and the couple in worcester. we're told the girlfriend is not not hurt. the suspect in this possible kidnapping was questioned and released but charges could be coming. londonderry police received a 911 call at 3:45 this afternoon from the ecco usa and the shoe manufacturer is near the manchester boston regional airport. the caller reported that this man 22- , year-old victor rosario of manchester came into the , building and dragged out his girlfriend by the arm, there was no report of a weapon. >> based on the reports, it appears she was forcibly removed from the building and into the

her but the suspect took off. reporter: police used a description of the car and partial plate to identify the vehicle using social media to , ask the public to help find the 1996 red honda police say one of those tips led civic. police say one of those tips led them to believe rosario was traveling out of state. cell phone pings were used to locate the car in worcester, massachusetts. police say the girlfriend was with rosario and she was not hurt. >> mass state police stopped and she w questioned. the investigation continues and he faces several potential charges pending the outcome of the full investigation. reporter: police say he could face kidnapping and assault charges. they planned to interview the girlfriend tonight, and also say the child the two have together was not involved in this incident in any way. shelley: thank you for the

the weather, it is a stormy night across the granite state. live look right now in colebrook. a very chilly 37 degrees. chief meteorologist mike haddad is here to let us know who will see rain or snow. mike: mostly rain for a good part of the state. if you're and hired to rain, over 1000 feet, experiencing heavy precipitation, that is where you like -- find the snow. places like ottumwa, washington. anywhere from one to four inches of snow. especially up over 1200 feet. everyone else well above the freezing mark. a lot of beneficial rain southeast. over a half and just fallen. that is in concord. a lot of precipitation in new york state. we will see precipitation increasing during the overnight

the presidential range, lighting up with over a foot of snow by the time we get to midday tomorrow. the great north woods through pittsburgh could see over half a foot by midday tomorrow. what about the rest of the state? gusty winds. and the weekend, up ahead. tom: this late october snowfall is reminding a lot of people of the winter that's ahead. loon mountain in lincoln is expected to see some snow tonight. ' areas are welcoming tonight's potential snow. cherise: while many people may be put off why the idea of snowfall in october, you will not hear any complaints from these officials. they are looking forward to the potential of early snowfall and say it is a great sign of the ski season to come. >> this is a busy time of year for us, everyone is excited. cherise: greg kwasnik has spent five winters working at loon mountain resort, he's

season. >> typically we do not see a lot of snow in october. anytime we see white stuff falling it gets us excited. reporter: a few days ago, flurries blanketed the top of loon mountain. they hope more will coat the mountains tonight. >> there is no snow now, but wait a couple days. cherise: need to wait before they start of and make their own snow. typically they need consecutive days with temperatures in the 20's to start making snow. >> are still makers have been busy today looking up to the season -- system. when we get cold weather, they can turn it on pretty quickly. cherise: but kwasnik says fun fall snow like tonight's gets people thinking

ski season ahead especially , after a milder winter last year. >> people are very excited. they are just really primed to come up. and have fun. it gets people in the mood to come skiing and snowboarding. cherise: they say it definitely will be open before thanksgiving. we are following disturbing news we are following disturbing news out of the town of kings they were allowed to get water from a spigot at the fire department. but now it turns out that water is contaminated. it is a temporary fix that have uncovered a brand-new problem. last month, people lose wells i've run dry in the town of kingston were told they could get water from this survey get at the fire department. but today the department shows elevated levels of the

>> we're surprised because we had it tested in april. and in april it came back as usable water. but more recent tests show it had 140 parts per trillion of pfoa, which is above normal. it also showed the presence of other pfc's. a spokesman for des says so far, the source of the contaminants is a mystery. >> we really do not know what the pfc's are. shelley: they urge people to stay,. >> there is no reason for panic. to the best of my knowledge, they do not even know if this has a health affect. shelley: people who still need water can get it down the road from the spaghetti at the library. >> it has been tested and does not have levels that we are aware of.

the fire department who want their well water tested can fill out a request form on the department of environmental services website. tom: to commitment 2016 now. republican vice presidential nominee mike pence is ok tonight after the plane he was on slid off a runway. the plane made a rough impact when it landed at new york's laguardia airport. pence say he is fine and no one on board appears to be hurt. we're about a week and a half away from the general election and tonight the candidates for u.s. senate faced off. republican senatel democrat, governor maggie hassan took part in a debate on n.h. one news. the candidates went back and forth about bi-partisanship and higher education. >> it is one of the major points of difference between senator ayotte and myself. as you have heard us discuss tonight she has , voted to make deep cuts to pell grants and against allowing students to refinance their student loans. while i've been working to make sure that we lower the cost of higher education and i will continue to do that in the u.s.

paramedic had an idea. within two weeks, safe stations were up and running. wmur's amy coveno takes us inside the program that's getting national attention. reporter: fire stations, a common sight in most new hampshire towns. fire trucks, a welcome sight when things are bad. but inside this manchester fire house, life saving is happening many times a day. >> i would rather bring them to you like this then find them on the street with a needle. reporter: the fight against the heroin/fentanyl epidemic is happening right here 24/7. it is 11:30 this morning, and this is the second save station admission of the day. alice isn't her real name but that's her foot shaking. >> she went through withdrawals. she had a small dose this morning, but in her words, not enough.

wife drove 66 miles from ossipee to to get -- to get alice help. this is their seventh trip in six months. >> there are no beds available in my area to help. >> we that people come from maine, massachusetts, vermont, alabama, california, just because this is the only program like in the country. reporter: safe station is the brainchild of chris hickey, it started with an encounter with a stranger who came to the fire for help, and an e-mail to the chief, who sent it to the mayor. seven months later, it has helped nearly 600 people. it's an access point, the beginning of a long journey. that starts with a short walk next door to serenity place. an outpatient program that's been doing recovery work in the queen city for 40 years. >> we just want to meet people where they are at. reporter: executive director

over safe station success. the success rate is on the >>the success rate is on the back end. where are they now, what's happening, we need to demonstrate that. reporter: new hampshire ranks at the bottom nationally when it comes to access to treatment. according to the department of health and human services, new hampshire has inpatient 270 treatment beds. that's a 25% increase since february 2015. necessary, and we do not have enough beds. but that does not equate treatment. >> how are you doing? reporter: steven is 56. he is addicted to alcohol and has been sleeping on the streets for three weeks. he arrived with a gift for the firehouse kitchen, bags of maple syrup. firefighters see it as a cry for

>> i need to make a change. reporter: a coalition of caregivers surround him in minutes. he will get a bed at helping hands and recovery support during the day at serenity place. the seamless response is kind and quick. florida, massachusetts, ohio, fdny in the bronx want to know how manchester did it and what thco >> we are saving lives, i can guarantee you that. reporter: the crisis in new hampshire is still very much a crisis. and stephanie bergeron believes the medical community is discriminating and complicating how patients get care. >> anyone should be able to go to their primary care or an emergency room and say i'm having a problem with addiction. it should not be a struggle, it should be incorporated into your

organizations are determined to save every life they can. >> you can come here are 1000 times, we do not care. we always say you are a client forever. >> this is opening people's eyes as far as what communities are capable of doing when they all sit at the same table. reporter: most safe station admissions in manchester happen right here at the central fire department. but many people turn to hospitals and the er when pains of withdrawal set in. hospital officials say admissions have skyrocketed d detox runs over $2000 a day. they call it an inefficient use of resources. shelley: next week will mark six months for safe stations. so far, more than 650 people have come to manchester's fire stations for help. just 20% have been return participants. and they come from every corner of the state, people from 85 communities have
