a live look in milford where rain is coming down. i am cherise leclerc. adam: i am adam sexton. several towns are trick-or-treating. you will want to bring the rain gear. hayley lapoint has your halloween forecast. hayley: the rest of the day was nice. then the rain showers rolled in. it is pretty steady in terms of trick-or-treating time. we will have this ongoing for the next couple of hours. some heavier northern hillsboro county. in keene and jaffrey, steady rain continuing. temperatures have fallen into the 40's for almost everyone. low 40's in whitefield and berlin. here is the good news, especially if you are trick-or-treating tomorrow night, because it will be clear tomorrow night. it will be chillier temperatures more like upper 30's and lower 40's but at least we do not have to deal with the rain tomorrow.

both u.s. senate candidates were also at the forum, governor maggie hassan telling news 9 she's going to give back more than $30,000 in campaign contributions. this after an investigative report from "the boston globe" spotlight team that indicated the thornton law firm in massachusetts, which gave hassan $31,000 this cycle, is allegedly using bonuses to reimburse law partners' political donations. >> we had no idea of the things "the globe" reported, how the firm was handling contributions internally. and i assume, as "the globe" reported, that other candidates, republicans and democrats, didn't know anything about the internal operations of the firm either, and we plan to return all the contributions. adam: the campaign of senator kelly ayotte reacted to "the globe" report this morning, saying it raises serious ethical and legal questions. cherise: our crew is working to get the set built at saint

where the wind can pick up and you get heavier downpour action. that is continuing to move to the east. some heavier pockets up by hillsborough along 202 and dublin. the same is true at the seacoast. it is like to moderately raining all across those areas and will continue for the next few hours. the rain will be ending. it is just an evening thing. the albany area. it will be just a few more hours. overnight, we will see the skies clearing out. temperatures are cool. we are in the 40's now. about 48 in concord. 50 in nashua. we came close to 60 earlier this afternoon with the sun in nashua and other southern communities. now the rain showers moving through. they should wrap up by 11:00 tonight.

clear, particularly in the eastern half of the state to we will probably see right sunshine to begin the day tomorrow. some areas to the west and up north may see the clouds linger longer tomorrow. by noon and after, everybody is bright and sunny. that will lead to a nice halloween evening. it will be cool. no doubt about it. for trick-or-treating tomorrow evening, layers, the then the costume on top because it will get cold quick. most locations by 7:00 or 8:00 tomorrow evening will be in the 30's. on tuesday, we will start out with sunshine and then clouds fill in as the next storm system gets closer. overnight tonight in the 30's for most locations. 37 in laconia. 35 in concord. 39 in manchester.

be coolest up north again. low 40's for berlin. 50 in concord, manchester, salem. for trick-or-treaters tomorrow night, here is the ghostly forecast. clear skies across the area. temperatures falling quickly into the 40's. some places only in the upper 30's by the time the kids are doing trick-or-treating tomorrow evening. after halloween tuesday, we will have clouds moving in. temperatures in the 50's. a little boost by wednesday and thursday with highs in the 60's. showers possible late in the day thursday into friday. i wanted to share some video i took from claremont earlier this week. this is bluff elementary. i got to speak to the entire elementary class. all the students from k to third or fourth graders.
