this started last thursday, when police say victor rosario went to his girlfriend's workplace and dragged her out of the building by the arm. the couple were later tracked to worcester, massachusetts using cell phone pings. the alleged victim was not injured, and police spoke with rosario at that time, but let him go while they investigated. the next day, however, they issued an arrest warrant on charges of domestic violence, simple assault, and false imprisonment. rosario turned himself in to police that night, and was the couple does have a child together, but police say that child was not involved in any way. rosario is scheduled to be arraigned first thing this morning. reporting live outside the -- reporting live in derry, ray brewer, wmur news 9. sean: state police say a teenager was drunk when they clocked him driving more than 100 mph on interstate 93 in campton. 19-year-old ryan dicicco of hudson faces several charges, including aggravated dwi and reckless driving.

over the road on saturday. he is due in court in a couple weeks. three pedestrians, including two children, are recovering this morning after they were struck by a hit-and-run driver in salem, massachusetts last night. police say a 10-year-old girl was taken to mass general hospital, and another child was treated at a local hospital. investigators say the driver, a 52-year-old man from beverly, massachusetts, later returned to the scene, and was arrested onch police say halloween is one of the busiest times of the year in salem, which is known for the witch trials, attracting tourists from around the world. erin: the fbi has now obtained a warrant to begin reviewing newly-discovered emails that officials think may be relevant to the hillary clinton email server investigation. clinton is trying to move past the new developments while donald trump is jumping on the revelations. meantime a new abc news poll , shows the two locked in a dead

stephanie: good morning. there are just eight days to election day, and here is proof the race is not going to slow down. the fbi has now obtained a warrant to review those newly found e-mails. over the weekend, clinton taking on her opponent, donald trump -- mrs. clinton: it's always donald trump first and everyone else last. stephanie: and fbi director james comey. mrs. clinton: some of you may have heard about a letter that the fbi director sent out stephanie: that letter sent to lawmakers friday, where comey says newly flagged emails were discovered on the laptop of disgraced former congressman anthony wiener, the estranged husband of clinton's top aide, huma abedin. weiner is under investigation for allegedly sexting a teen. comey says the emails, which federal agents found weeks ago, should be looked at to figure out if they contain any classified information relevant to the clinton email probe. comey making the new review

clinton. mrs. clinton: it's pretty strange to put something like that out with such little information right before an election. stephanie: justice department officials had advised against alerting congress, citing department tradition of not talking about ongoing investigations and not doing anything that would be seen as influencing an election in its final days. criticism of minority leader harry reid sent his own letter to james comey, accusing him of being partisan. stephanie ramos, abc news, washington erin: there are new developments this morning in a story we first reported yesterday, concerning donations to governor maggie hassan's campaign for u.s. senate. news 9 learned overnight that the campaign will now return a total of $51,000 to the thornton law firm in massachusetts, including $13,000 from her last gubernatorial campaign two years ago. that's up from the $31,000

investigative report by the "boston globe" spotlight team that indicated the law firm is allegedly using bonuses to reimburse law partners' political donations. gov. hassan: we had no idea of the things the globe reported, how the firm was reporting contributions internally. and i assume, as the globe has reported, that other candidates, republicans and democrats, didn't know anything about the internal operations of the firm either, and we plan to return all the contributions. erin: senator kelly aytotte's campaign reacted to the globe report yesterday, saying it, quote, "raises serious ethical and legal questions." sean: both hassan and ayotte attended a forum in manchester yesterday that included candidates in several statewide races. in the race to replace hassan in the corner office, democrat colin van ostern and republican chris sununu differed on whether they would sign, if elected, what is known as an anti-bds bill, fighting boycotts,

the state was still digging out and cleaning up from the third largest power outage in new hampshire history, after two feet of snow fell in some areas, breaking records for the month of october. as you might imagine it would. come halloween night, tens of thousands of customers were still in the dark, even a couple days after the snow actually fell. erin: a londonderry woman is making military history. second lieutenant katrina simpson just became the first female officer in the national guard to graduate from the u.s. army infantry officer basi course at fort benning. this was the first class to include female officers since all military occupations were opened up to women. lieutenant simpson will return to fort benning in january for the pre-selection phase of ranger school. sean: a woman in texas came up with a rather unique excuse when explaining why she crashed into a police car. 19-year-old miranda rader told the officer that she was taking a topless selfie at the time so that she could snapchat her boyfriend. rader was charged with drunken

a new report this morning is -- tesla is showing off new solar panels. the roof tiles have solar panels built in, making them blend right into the roof. they are available in a variety of styles, and tesla says they are cheaper than building a traditional roof and adding solar on top. erin: dozens of organic farmers in vermont are encouraging regulators to change what is considered organic. hydroponic farming does not use any soil. instead, it involves mainlining plant. right now, it is considered organic by the usda. however, many farmers say it should get its own classification. a national advisory board will vote next month. sean: a rochester team is using a haunted house to help others. for the last eight years george , farrow has turned his home on dodge street into a spook fest. and for the last five, he has used it to help raise money for people battling cancer. last year, he donated $1400 to

over a week out before the election. nikole: hillary clinton wants to get back on message. and according to a memo from her campaign manager, she will try to do just that this week, by contrasting herself with donald trump. mrs. clinton: i am focused on one thing -- you. nikole: as hillary clinton heads to ohio today, she made no mention of the email controversy swirling around her again. mrs. clinton: there's a lot of noise and distraction, but it really comes down to what kind nikole: according to the associated press, the fbi has now obtained a warrant to review new emails of her longtime aide huma abedin, after they were discovered during a sexting investigation into her estranged husband, anthony weiner. mr. trump: we never thought we were going to say "thank you" to anthony weiner. nikole: donald trump continued to seize on the developments as the clinton camp blasted fbi director james comey for alerting congress. mr. podesta: to throw this in the middle of the campaign, 11 days out, just seemed to break

inappropriate at this stage. ms. conway: had he sat on the information, one can argue that he also would be interfering with the election. nikole: in a "washington post" op-ed, former attorney general eric holder said director comey is a good man but made a serious mistake. holder joined dozens of former justice officials criticizing the director in an open letter. perhaps the most scathing criticism is from senate minority leader harry reid, who accused director comey of a double standard, and possibly breaking the law. so far, no comment from the fbi. in washington, sean: our granite state debates get underway tomorrow. and crews have been working hard to get the set built at saint anselm college. first up are the candidates for governor. then, the u.s. senate candidates face off on wednesday, followed by the congressional candidates on thursday and friday. all of the debates start at 7:00, and you can watch them right here on wmur, or on our website, mobile app, or facebook page.

after state police say he went the wrong way on interstate 393 while allegedly driving drunk. the driver was stopped around 11:00 last night. police say he was arrested and charged with dwi, reckless conduct, and having an open container. troopers say his blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit. also new this morning, two skiers are safe after being rescued from mount washington. fish and game officers say the men were trying to ski down the ammonoosuc ravine trail the skiers only had one light, which ended up failing. they used their cell phone to call for help. when rescuers found the men, they were cold and wet, but otherwise ok. sean: now to a bizarre story out of laconia. right now, police are looking for the victim of a motorcycle accident. the crash happened early yesterday morning at the intersection of stark street and union avenue. police say a motorcyclist hit a utility pole, but when officers arrived, the rider was gone.

face down on the ground before he was taken away from the scene. police believe he may have been picked up by friends. anyone with information is asked to contact the laconia police department erin: kids across the state will be out trick-or-treating today, and local police departments are asking everyone to stay vigilant. the portsmouth police department posted a list of ways to stay safe, which include wearing costumes with visible colors or reflective tape, carrying a flashlight, staying on the sidewalks, and respecting othe peoples' property. parents are also encouraged to look through their kids' candy to make sure nothing looks out of the ordinary. officer miller: i like candy too. wait till you get home. take a look at it. have your parents look at it. make sure nothing looks suspicious, altered, anything like that. the biggest thing -- we want everyone to have a good time tonight. and be safe.

kevin: it is monday morning, your halloween morning. temperatures are in the 30's to lower 40's. clouds continuing to decrease early, setting of sunshine, except in the mountains and great north woods, where the clouds may be more stubborn. a pretty good breeze and detai coming up in just a bit. sean: people in italy are dealing with a major mess caused by another powerful earthquake. erin: the 6.6-magnitude quake hit yesterday and was centered in a mountainous area. it was the strongest tremor to hit italy in more than three decades. the quake caused buildings to collapse in a matter of seconds, injuring about 20 people. this was the third major earthquake to rattle italy in the last two months. it struck in the same area as another powerful quake that hit on august 24.

took a terrifying turn when police say two men opened fire. >> we opened the door and you just saw people running and screaming, and blood. it was just a little bit crazy. sean: police say five people were injured in the shooting. they say one of the gunmen was dressed up as freddy kruger. investigators say the men started firing after they got into a fight with someone else at the party. so far, no arrests have been made. erin: we are learning new details about a fire that broke plane in chicago, forcing passengers to scurry to safety. federal officials are now pointing to a rare and serious type of engine failure for causing friday's fire. they say just before takeoff, parts of the engine flew a quarter mile through the air. the fire burned the fuselage, but did not do any major damage to the inside of the cabin. an investigator with the ntsb says an examination of the engine revealed that the stage

>> these -- the engine disintegrated. we see a quick fuel-fed fire. it is a dangerous mishap. we are lucky this happened while it was still on the ground. erin: 20 people were taken to the hospital, but they have all since been released. sean: turning now to sports, yesterday was a record day for rob gronkowski as he caught one of tom brady's four touchdown passes, helping the patriots cruise past the bills in buffalo. the bills are the only team to beat new england so far this in the first quarter, brady passed to chris hogan for a 53-yard touchdown, giving new england a 14-3 lead. yes, spikes that ball. it was pretty exciting. the pats were leading 14-10 in the second when gronk caught a pass from brady for another touchdown. that was the 69th td catch of gronkowski's career, which sets a new franchise record. bow to the crowd. the pats went on to win the game 41-25. they hit their bye week at 7-1.

now to game five of the world series -- the indians taking on the cubs. cleveland was leading the series three games to one going into this game. and in the bottom of the fourth, the indians were ahead 1-0 when kris bryant launched a solo home run to tie the game. chicago ended up winning it 3-2. the indians now lead the series three games to two. game six is tomorrow night in cleveland. to the racetrack now. title is down to eight drivers. jimmie johnson drove from the back of the pack at martinsville on sunday, led 92 laps, and then took the checkered flag for the fourth time this season. he's now guaranteed a spot in the final four. brad keselowski finished second, followed by denny hamlin, matt kenseth, and kyle busch. sean: sugarloaf ski resort in maine will be hosting the nation's top skiers in 2017. the mountain will be the backdrop for the u.s. alpine championships in march. this will be the sixth time that sugarloaf has hosted the event.
