good morning, ray. ray: the first two debates will feature those races you just mentioned with all the undecided voters. the candidates for governor will be on stage tonight. with all those undecided voters , trying to predict the outcome will be very difficult. it also means the last few days are important. the presidential race is actually adding to the indecision. because there has been so much attention on the race for the white house many voters haven't put as much effort into learning about the local candidates. >> i'm going to wait until the last minute. >> we haven't made up our minds yet because we are still trying to do a bit of research. >> undecided voters at this point, often tend to be people who are less involved in politics on a regular basis, they don't pay quite as close attention to it on a daily basis. they may make a decision based on less information. ray: political analysts say there is a potential for more split voting this cycle meaning we could see more people vote for a mix of democrats and

down the ballot for just one party. the bottom line. there is still a lot of work to do even though there is just a week away. erin: as ray mentioned, our granite state debates start tonight at 7:00 when the candidates for governor take centerstage. the u.s. senate candidates are up tomorrow followed by both congressional districts and you can watch then all right mobile app or facebook page. vermont senator bernie sanders is holding a "get out the vote" rally at plymouth state university and dartmouth college today, rallying support for both maggie hassan and hillary clinton. meanwhile a new report from the new york times suggests that donald trump's own lawyers were concerned about how he managed to avoid paying certain taxes. and clinton is dealing with the

even further. senator pat leahy, the ranking democrat on the judiciary committee saying the justice department's response to their questions for clarification was disappointing and inadequate and arguing that the timing of the fbi's announcement led to widespread confusion and unfair speculation. clinton campaign manager robby mook argued that the fbi director exhibited "blatant double standards, opposed to releasing information about the russian hacks so close to election day." sean: a 17-year-old boy from central maine accused of killing his parents is due in court today. an autopsy is also scheduled for today to determine exactly how alice and antonio balcer died. their bodies were found at their home in the town of winthrop, maine early yesterday morning their son was arrested a few hours later and charged with two counts of murder. police in bedford are stepping up patrols due to what the chief calls an alarming trend. officers arrested five drivers for drunk driving in town in the span of just 28 hours over the

was just 17-years-old. and for the year dwi cases in bedford are up 40% from a year ago. >> that's an alarming increase here in town. as you know we had two fatal motor vehicle accidents back to back on july 29 and july 30 this year in bedford. as a result we instituted an intensive traffic enforcement program. sean: police are focusing more on identifying the signs of impaired driving including inconsistent speed weaving between the lines or even failing to signal for turns. and officers are reminding people to always have a designated driver or call someone for a ride if you have been dri erin: a federal judge says victims of a ponzi scheme in the western part of the state are owed nearly $23 million. prosecutors say aaron olson of rindge took the money from more than 80 investors. he is currently serving five years behind bars for tax evasion involving a ponzi scheme he ran from 2007 until 2012. >> he got their money. he invested some, but he kept a lot and through the course of the years none of his

a lot of sunshine with temperatures either side of 50. we have the details on the rain in the forecast coming. sean: extra layers. an epping teenager is credited with saving his sister after running into a burning building to pull her to safety. erin: the fire broke out last week while julia hutchins was watching a movie with her three youngest children. they got out as soon as the smoke alarms went off but that's when they realized that 3-year-old melodi was missing. so 16-year-old brandon ran inside to look for his sister. >> i was just making guesses where things were and i didn't have my glasses on. i grabbed her and then i'll most filled on the stairs because of the smoke and it got me really dizzy. erin: everyone is safe this morning and firefighters were able to save the house. the hutchins hope to be able to move back in in about six months after repairs are made. sean: a good ending to that story. a lot of people pay a little extra money for a vanity license

sean: one person is dead and at least five others hurt after a pipeline exploded in alabama yesterday. investigators say an excavator hit the pipeline, igniting the gasoline sending flames and smoke shooting high above the forest, officials built a dam to contain the burning fuel while they wait for it to burn out. this happened just a mile from where the line burst back in september, leaking around 300,000 gallons of gas. transit workers in philadelphia are officially on strike this morning, shutting down one of the largest public transportation systems in the country. the union announced the strike at midnight when contract talks failed to produce a new deal. beyond financial issues, there are also concerns over schedules, break time, and driver fatigue. there are also concerns this morning that if a deal is not reached quickly, the strike could prevent some people from voting next week. erin: iraqi special forces have now fought their way inside the

the men were working at the new public safety complex project, when a roof support came crashing down. town officials say the workers were installing wooden roof trusses when one buckled, bowed and fell on them knocking them to the ground. the men were taken to concord hospital with serious, but non life threatening injuries. >> one had a broken leg and ankle and the other one had a mild concussion. a couple of stitches and bruised his elbow. sean: osha is now investigating the accident. the construction project is set to be complete early next year. erin: a big change is coming to the lebanon police department. a private donor is footing a hefty bill, to make sure the city's police officers are equipped with body cameras. the total cost is about $18,000 for body cameras and the 10 necessary accessories. as well as training. chief richard mello says it's one of the most generous gifts the department has ever received. he says the donor is a longtime lebanon resident who was

headlines. the new york times reports that in the 1990's trump avoided paying potentially hundreds of million of dollars in taxes in a way that even his lawyers considered questionable. meantime, there were reports that the fbi has opened up an investigation into trump's former campaign manager, paul manafort. and his ties to the russian interests. erin: if you have any oreo cookies at home, you'll want to listen up. two versions of oreos have been recalled, because they contain a milk allergen that is not on the ingredient list. people who have an allergy or sensitivity to milk could have a serious reaction if they eat either the original oreo fudge cremes or mint oreo fudge cremes. the affected cookies have a best by dates from august 19 through october 18. a four-year-old boy is recovering this morning after

massachusetts. police say right after the child was hit last night, the driver got out of the car, talked to some people at the scene and then took off. somone followed her and police eventually tracked her down. one man says he was right behind the hit and run driver when the accident happened. >> the kid was so little that i don't think the car in front of me saw him run in front and the car went over the kid. shining forward i could see the kid underneath the car. erin: police say the child suffered a serious cut to his head and was taken to a boston hospital. there is no word yet if the driver will face any charges. sean: a woman in new york says she plans to take a casino to court after she thought she won nearly $43 million on a slot machine. the machine at resorts world casino showed that katrina bookman hit the jackpot. but the staff told her she actually didn't win anything. turns out the new york state

machine malfunctioned and bookman was only entitled to $2.25. she says the casino also offered her a free steak dinner. so close. erin: that isn't going to cut it, i don't think. an ohio man is on the mend this morning after being trapped in his crashed car for two days. a couple of highway workers spotted the wreckage in the woods when they were called to check out a dead deer. investigators say the driver missed a curve, hit a tree and landed in a ditch. when the workers first approached the car, they had not -- they had no idea someone was still inside. >> just kind of shock at first, then this kind of eerie feeling. you're not real for sure what you're walking up to. >> we went down to the car and i could see a foot out of the back window, and finally, we got him to respond and he had said he had been there for a couple of days. erin: the driver was alert when emergency crews arrived. he was flown to the hospital, but at this time there is no word on his condition.
