josh: let's back up a limb, for the last 10 years the first district of new hampshire has been represented by either shea-porter origin that, and this election represents chapter number four of their political rivalry. as you can see, we have three podiums tonight, and that's because independent candidate o'connor made a late surge to get on the debate stage and he'll be talking a lot to the invoicer out there, and there's no question about it if had this cycle has taught us anything is there an appetite for something but this will be an important debate for all three campaigns. and there are no shortage of issues. obviously there's the economy and pocketbook issues, the opioid crisis remains a major problem in new hampshire, and there's also foreign policy issues to discuss as well. so this is an important night for all three campaigns. the supporters for all three also started turning out at the institute of politics earlier than expected. and they're still out there

bipartisanship is fantastic. reporter: why carol? >> carol has a long, long record of supporting the environment, and i want action on climate. reporter: okay, so the crowd out here definitely lesser in size than it was last night for the senate debate and that's indicative of how the top of the ticket has sucked a lot of the air out of these races, but we've got pretty good representation for what josh: when it comes to sign wars, valuable real estate around the institute of politics. the debate begins at 7:00, you can watch it here on wmur and on website and your mobile app. you can also check in on our facebook page as well, there will be some chatter going on in the social media world. we'll have full coverage of the

mike: great for hazel. and somebody owes somebody an ice cream, that we'll get to at the end of weather between news and sports. tom: don't talk about it. mike: we'll deal with that later, tom, jamie. up in warner we in overcast skies a good part of the day and we had some rain, quarter to a half inch lakes region south, a little more to the north. but the steady rain has moved out and showers are about to clear the great north woods. as for central and southern parts of the state outside in terms of the rain for a good part of this night. early tomorrow morning another weak system will dart through out of the canada and as it moves overhead it will trigger more clouds around and there could be a passing shower of rain south and snow to the north as it does start to cool down quite a bit during early tomorrow morning. but right now still well above freezing even far north, upper 40's north, lower 50's south, basically right at the average for this time of year, ocean

and the air temperature very close to that as well. overnight tonight will not be all that cold, temperatures remain about 10 degrees above the average, so upper 30's will do it by daybreak north and lower 40's central and southern new hampshire. all that spring warmth has been squashed off to our south, just like the extreme drought has been pushed down to places like derry and points south. but cool air building in from the north and northwest means our temperatures will line up at or slightly below the norm right from weekend, probably into monday morning before it warms up after that. notice tonight, clouds will try to break, still lingering rain, possibly mixed showers in the mountains. then tomorrow morning quite a few clouds, a few bright spots at times and a couple of flurries, maybe a snow shower in the mountains, and then complete clearing will develop during the afternoon, fair skies a good part of your friday evening. then later friday night into saturday, the next weak disturbance moves through, that means clouds, some partial sun

a couple flakes of snow north and maybe a sprinkle or flurry early the the day in southern new hampshire before that clears out and another weak system moves in on sunday. so a little unsettled, but mainly dry through the next few days. low 40's for highs tomorrow up north, mid 40's central. lower 50's south. again right near the average for this time of year. where do temperatures go for the weekend? very close to where they'll be tomorrow, the 40's north, low 50's south on saturday. could be a mixed shower e saturday, outside of that dry. same story on sunday. don't forget in between all of that we fall back to standard time, early on sunday morning, that means our sunset on sunday is at 4:32. bright skies on monday, election day, by the way, looks fantastic weather wise. no excuses not to get out and vote. then cooler beyond that. tom: okay, when i left i was in good shape last night, by the
