hampshire like we do. now, wmur news 9 at 6:00. >> we have breaking commitment 2016 news tonight. fbi director james comey says the reopened probe into hillary clinton e-mails is now over. it has not changed their conclusion, which was that clinton would not face any charges. that evening, i'm tom griffith. all of this comes hours before clinton will hold a rally in manchester at about the same time that we -- republican vice presidential nominee holds one in when him. we have live commitment 2016 coverage tonight. we begin with political director josh mcelveen with more on why the granite state is once again a big focus of presidential politics. reporter: no question about that. and 38 hours, voters in new hampshire will begin testing ballot in an election that is

as to how close the race is between donald trump and hillary clinton, look no further than their campaigns and how much effort has been put into winning the granite state's electoral votes. hillary clinton is here, marking her fourth trip since the primary. last week, we had seen plenty of heavy hitters, ranging from bill clinton, daughter chelsea, first lady michelle obama, vice president joe biden, and the president himself will be here tomorrow. has been here nine time since the primary. tomorrow will make it 10 times. that is augmented by visits from his children. rudy giuliani, chris christie, and mike pence has been here quite a bit. he will be here, along with hillary clinton. let's go to adam sexton in manchester. will the clinton campaign -- the clinton campaign got good

that announcement from the fbi. we don't know whether that will, actually in the rally itself, but safety say, this was probably the best outcome they could have been hoping for, given what had happened in the last couple of weeks. make no mistake. the fact that is happening probably has to do with the fact that the fbi announcement that they would reopen the investigation. certainly, we heard, back when hillary clinton was at saint recording that was it. that was her final rally here in new hampshire, and they would be moving onto states where the margins were closer between her and mr. trump. now it is new hampshire that is competitive, both campaigns bombarding the state with attention. tonight, we will have an enormous cloud -- crowd. joining hillary clinton will be star power. she's got folk artist james taylor, and also the goldstar

consequential convention speeches and sometime at the democratic national convention, taking on donald trump over his comments about muslims. mr. trump will be trying to draw an even larger crowd tomorrow at the nh you death s n h u arena. for more on how his team is heading into the home stretch, let's go to cherise leclerc. reporter: thank you. this event here at the wyndham, this is being billed as a get out the vote rally. there's on already making calls. it will be several more hours before governor pence arrives in new hampshire. that is because he just wrapped up the campaign event in north carolina, where he was speaking earlier today. we want to show you a live look at the campaign headquarters, where people are on the phones, getting out their message to voters, as we lead into the final hours before election day. we heard them being instructed on the phone.

the republican vice presidential nominee is making in these final hours. this is his final scheduled stop of the night. campaign officials telling us they have no idea at this time how many people will turn out. we did see a steady stream of people downstairs, volunteers waiting to come in and see governor pence speak tonight. he will be back here in the granite state tomorrow night with donald trump for the rally in manchester. we will have more coverage on mike pence's and a close election, the electoral map shows the road to victory leads through new hampshire. that is true on both sides. this morning, we heard from the architects of the trunk and clinton campaigns. both agree that new hampshire's no-frills system allows for candidates to campaign until the last minute. >> you hear about all these early voting locations in north carolina and florida. everyone is measuring, is it up
