initial to local police. don't forget our website is packed with voter resources. before you head off to the polls, can you find out where the candidates stand on the top issues, read their biographies and learn fun facts about them. mike: beautiful looking monday out there, yes, it started off quite chilly, but a lot of sun did go to work, getting our temperatures back to average. but that's time up any more, we lost that about 4:30 this afternoon thanks to the clock change back to standard time this weekend. the high in concord, 52. record high, 78 set back on this date in 1938. we got the chill out there right now, wind are fairly light w. clear skies, dry air in place, temperatures will continue to fall off, well below freezing in the coming hours up north,
6:19 pm
and then well below freezing later on tonight. lakes region back through plymouth, upper valley points south and southeast. and even near freezing at the coast. but also notice interesting tonight, atop mount washington, 36 degrees, already warmer than all the great north woods, because the air mass is really not all that chilly, it's that cold air that rushes right down in the valleys by evening. with that means tomorrow with any sun we'll boost our readings well above average, so get ready for a nice day. a lot of mild air back to our west. temperatures will be running at or above the average over the next couple of days. but certainly much warmer tomorrow than it will be on wednesday. and the reason for that, fair skies all day on tuesday for election day. but you'll notice the cloud cover with showers sitting back
6:20 pm
plains. once those clouds race in, that will cap temperatures from taking off during the day on wednesday. so for tonight, clear skies, plenty of sun for the day tomorrow, and then beyond that time frame we've got more sun coming in during the daylight hours of wednesday. thicker clouds chasing that sun away, that means scattered showers building on in. beyond that looks fairly nice for thursday and friday. certainly a chilly start as polls open tomorrow morning, 20's north, lower 30's going to be very, very pleasant. lots of sun, lower 60's south, near 60 far north and right around 60 in central parts of the state. a scattering of showers move in for wednesday, they clear by thursday. sunshine giving way to cloud and a late day shower for veterans day and a very chilly start to the upcoming weekend, low 40's. 30's north, scattered snow showers the the mountains and pain a flurry south.
