hospital. this happened this afternoon around 3:00 on elm street in concord near the corner of horse hill road. the two vehicles involved appear to have hit head on. there were two people in one of the vehicles, one person in the other one. everyone involved had to be rescued after getting trapped, and so far police know very few details. >> a serious injury accident involving two motor vehicles, as of right now we don't know what the cause of issue took place along this strep of elm street. reporter: three people in the hospital with serious injuries. accident reconstruction is under way, and this road is expected to be closed for the next couple hours. so if this is a route you usually take, you'll want to be find another direction tonight. tom: tonight a nashua man facing

massachusetts say he impersonated an f.b.i. agent to try to get into a couple's home. cherise leclerc is live in nashua and police don't think this was a ran doll act? a random act? >> no. police believe that gannon leblanc targeted that couple finding out about them through his job, but they don't think the general public was in danger in this case. last night a couple reporting to police that leblanc knocked on ei f.b.i. agent looking for a wanted fugitive and then said he had to use their bathroom and asked to come inside. the couple then refused, they called police, officers say this wasn't a random crime. police say besides the gun, knife, stun gun, rope, restraints and other items found in leblanc's backpack, they also found the names and addresses of four credit union clients. police were able to track

court today. >> that's what they said alerted them to the fact that it was strange, like why would an f.b.i. person show up and ask to use the bathroom, like maybe you want to use the bathroom down at the station or whatever. reporter: now in court today leblanc's defense attorney said that his client had those items in his backpack because he intended to go camping, he said he simply knocked on that couple's door because he did have the use the go to leblanc's apartment, a woman who answered the intercom there did not wish to speak to media. tom: tonight the u.s. drug enforcement administration is warning about a new deadly form of fentanyl hitting our streets. jennifer: it goes by the name u47700, and it is tied to nearly 50 deaths, including one here in new hampshire. wmur's jennifer crompton live in portsmouth now with what action

reporter: the d.e.a. is taking steps to criminalize this newest version of the powerful opioid, as clandestine labs worked to profit from the addiction epidemic. yet another deadly new drug has hit the streets. >> the u47700, it's got some street names like pink, it's a synthetic opioid, similar to what we're seeing with some of the other synthetics the the fentanyl products that we're seeing in new hampshire. reporter: it's overdose deaths across the country in the last year, one of them here in the granite state. according to the governor's advisor on addiction and behavioral health, it has also shown up at least once in drugs tested at the state lab. >> it's another piece of the constellation of drugs we're seeing on the streets. reporter: adding yet another layer of danger for those struggling with addiction. does it worry you for them?

necessarily out just trying to get high, they're trying to prevent being sick, because their body's tolerance continues to grow. >> one might think that somebody in active addiction is going to look at a more potent dangerous substance as something that might kill them. to the contrary, they typically gravitate towards it. reporter: the d.e.a. sent out a notice of emergency action, placing u47700 into schedule 1 of the controlled substances particular molecular analog. toxic mixes cooked up in clandestine labs, feeding on the drug epidemic. >> that's why we see people that are manufacturing fentanyl, bringing it into our area, bringing drugs like u47700 into the area and trying to profit from it. reporter: experts remind us that we can't arrest our way out of this crisis, that helping those in crisis through recovery and

all key. live in portsmouth, jennifer crompton, wmur news 9. jennifer: police are investigating tonight after they say evidence of a possible meth lab was discovered inside a used car dealership in derry. the business was already under investigation for an unrelated crime. wmur's siobhan lopez has this. reporter: no arrests have been may at this point. the business was shut down immediately after police say used to make meth. they say auto alley was illegally swatching inspection stickers. during their investigation they found chemicals and tools used to cook meth and seesessed those items. a team was brought in to secure the hazardous materials. >> they could be facing charges for the production of drugs as well as charges for allowing

tom: unexpected support today for a derry mother and her son targeted by racially explicit vandalism. jennifer: it rolled in on two cheese and showed the 7-year-old that he had friends he didn't know he wmur's andy hershberger has this now. reporter: starting in late october, 7-year-old boy and his mom were targets of racially charged vandalism at their derry home. a frightening time for a young man who may feel all alone. but now he may never feel that way again. >> we are feel very isolated, we were scared, we didn't know who

oblivious to it. reporter: when with jackie says she shared her story, support came from everywhere, including one group she never expected. >> he knows that somebody cares about him. you know mom and grand mom do. but perfect strangers to take care, that makes a big difference. reporter: the manchester motorcycle club organizedded a ride today where they picked him up at school, gave him his own ub frozen yogurt. >> racism is something that's taught, and we dot want him to learn that, we want him to know that there are people who support him and are willing to be there for him. >> i think that it's fun to get along with friends. reporter: so he knows these guys have his back. the racial incidents have stopped and jackie sees a very powerful message. >> there's a lot more love than

mike: here we go with some sunshine, time lapse photos in warner today where it was clear a good part of this thursday, leading into veterans day tomorrow. we'll see a fair amount of sun by afternoon as well. but tomorrow the big change comes in the wind department as the winds really crank up out of the northwest. the official high in concord today, 54 degrees, a few off the high from yesterday, well off the high from tuesday, but still a little bit 50's again tomorrow before it cools down a little bit as we go into the start of the weekend. right now it is on the chilly side, we're already back below freezing. you get into the 40's from the lakes region points south and southeast. same story in the monadnock region, slightly milder, right at 50 in downtown manchester.

there is some cool over over southeastern canada, ask as that front separating the mild air over the great lakes and the colder stuff to the north builds in, we'll see winds cranking up and a couple spot showers moving in our direction. all evening long it will be dry, a few high clouds moving out for the evening, so skies will be mainly clear until at least midnight or shortly after that, and then clouds will begin to roll in after the midnight hour, maybe a shower of rain or snow in the but heading out this evening, it dry everywhere, later on tonight that's when the clouds begin to approach. could be mainly clear through daybreak in southern zones before the clouds increase during the morning commute, rain chances, about 70% great north woods and white mountains, changing over to a bit of wet snow for the afternoon, while any spot shower, maybe 20% chance southern new hampshire, gives way to clear, as we go into the afternoon. the but the big story late morning into the evening will be

full sunshine as we go into saturday. highs tomorrow low 40's north, my 40's central, lower 50's south, about two or three off of where we were for today. here's a look at the wind forecast for tomorrow. cranking up out of the southwest towards daybreak, but look they turn to the west northwest by midday and afternoon and start to build to 20 to 35 miles per hour. we could even see a couple of gusts to 40 to 45 and that would lead to a few scattered power outages for friday afternoon then the winds are still a bit breezy, but not nearly as strong on saturday, shifting to the west southwest. that will drive in milder air for sunday afternoon into monday. before we get there, very chilly for tomorrow night into early saturday. cool start to the weekend. nice mild finish again near 60 on monday, next chance of rain still in that severe drought from the lakes region down to about concord and manchester. next shot will come in here later tuesday into early on wednesday.

looking to get back on track with a win. let's check in with one of the three undefeated high school football teams in the state, the bulldogs, bedford will host a state soafl game on saturday. a rematch of the season opener when the bulldogs host asked beat merrimack 24-20. it was the only loss of the year for merrimack, they are considered to be the two best teams in the state and they collide this weekend. >> a close one. it's going to be a nail biter. they're a good going to come down to the wire. hopefully we're on top. >> their offense is definitely one of the best in the state, they've got passing, running, double threat. so just gotta prepare all week. >> the ncaa division 2 soccer tournament started for the men today, franklin pierce with a tough 3-2 loss to merrimack college in overtime. but the pen men won 3-s, they looked great, they'll advance to

4:00. this week's home town hero will lead the stevens cardinals into the football semifinals. jason has more with parker smith. reporter: the cardinals have one of the top buy receivers in the state, it's senior parker smith, at six three 190 pounds he's a big target with the athleticism to make big plays. >> i like playing like a friday night football game and the intensity you get within the game. reporter: his athleticism comes from being a athlete, he plays basketball in the winter and runs track in the spring. he decided to focus on improving to play at the college level. >> coach josh put it in my head like you're pretty good at football, so i just learned the game, made football my life. reporter: his dedication earned him a position as captain, a responsibility he doesn't take
