weather coming our way soon. >> let's get to some breaking news in the entertainment world overnight one of televisions most famous moms, actress florence henderson has passed away known as carol brady. her manager said she died at the hospital from heart failure but said henderson was not sick and her family and friends are shocked by her death. sh with the stars back in 2010 and made an appearance on this season's show in september. she was 82 years old. love it or hate it, black friday is here. shoppers across the country are out in full force this morning looking for deals including right here at the mall of new hampshire which opens its doors at 6:00 a.m., about an hour from now.

some of the anchor stores were open earlier but we had a lot of families shopping after their thanksgiving dinner last evening. >> we're going to check back in with jack later. we'll look for some shoppers. but we'll be here all morning and we'll check back in with you. >> thanks. we're now hearing the 911 calls from a fire on elm street. firefighters were able to rescue two people burning building. a husband and wife both disabled were trapped inside the bedroom of a second story apartment there. investigators say a cigarette tossed into a trash can sparked a fire inside the apartment on elm street. crews found the residents through the smoke and cleared the path to a backdoor to get them out. >> i was in the bedroom. i heard a loud sound in the living room and then the alarms

offering some advice to make sure you don't get scammed. be sure you're on legitimate websites and apps and beware of deals that look too good to be true. also, whenever possible, use a credit card instead of a debit card. there is one new toy taking center stage called hatch a moles. industry reports say these interactive hatching eggs are flying off the shelves. the sticker price, $60. but on e is going for between 200 and $500 for a little furry thing that hatches out of an egg. retailers are banking on big sales this holiday season after some shoppers pulled back during the election. but following such a divided contest are people ready to open up their wallets? we'll see. >> from election season to season's greetings.

run which is what i'm doing. i'm not doing the 5 k. but the 9:00 a.m. starts at fun run and walk. don't be afraid of the showers. shake it off. 36 degrees at the starting line at 9:00. so it will be cool. you want more your winter and wet gear if you're going to be out there walking or running this morning. take a look. he can't even see fog, low clouds, drizzle, and more of that in dublin, too, although there might be a couple of snow flakes mixing in with cooler temperatures in the higher elevations. so most of us have temperatures right around freezing, maybe slightly above that. good news from concord to the sea coast in southern areas. so there won't be a threat for any slick roadways in these communities. but once you get into the lakes

extra cautious. temperatures are very close to freezing, maybe even still below. so there could be a couple of slick spots on your way out in about this morning. there's drizzle, there's a couple of areas where it might be pellets of sleet and certainly some snow, light snow flurries continuing on. generally speaking all of this precipitation is really light. so it shouldn't have any huge impacts but just again be careful, particularly in central and northern new hampshire roadways. off toward the west of us, still just some unsettled weather. lots of clouds across the northeast. you do see some rain showers out by syracuse, new york. some is lake effect snow and rain showers moving off. but with warmer temperatures coming in over the next coupling of days most looking at drizzle and rain showers instead of snow showers. unless you live up in the mountains where the snow will hang on longer with the colder air. here's k9 a.m. this morning.

region southward from the lakes region north w5rd. again, minimal accumulation. this stuff is super light. it's not going to be a huge deal. nothing significant. by about 7:00 tonight things should start to wind down overnight tonight. i'm thinking we'll dry out a bit. tomorrow mostly cloudy though there will still be a small chance of spotty showers. particularly up the sea coast and spott mountains. mountain snow on sunday continuing on. but finally breaking out a little sunshine on sunday in the southern part of the state. so today drizzle, snow showers depending on your elevation and location. temperatures in the 30s. we'll get to about 42 degrees. here's a breakdown of the weekend. if you do have some travel plans still to go. you see that we will be cloudy tomorrow, maybe a peek of

>> welcome back, everybody. good morning. it is black friday out there, a lot of shoppers will be hitting the roads heading to the stores, and it's going to be a little drizzly out there. first, our top stories. this morning we are hearing the 911 call made to the fire department when two people got trapped inside a burning building on elm street. >> police are trying to track wn shattering several car windows. and it will be a busy day on the roads as shoppers head to the stores to try to score black friday deals. the mauls -- mals will be open until 10:00 tonight. you might need the windshield wipers. >> probably the winter jacket. but with something to fend off the wet weather too because it is so damp. take a look at this downtown manchester. see the puddles on the roadways

good morning. >> good morning. we haven't seen too many crowds yet because the mall doesn't officially open until 6:00. but there are some people walking around and there are some stores still open here. they've been open all night long. that's because the black friday rush actually started on thanksgiving. the mall opened at 6:00 yesterday evening and the mall is open until 1:00 this morning. some stores have been able to stay open all night long. lines started forming outside of best buy yesterday sforse for black friday are macy's and j.c. penny. studies also show that on amazon.com more than 17% of items will be more expensive on black friday. the shopping there continue. around 137 million people plan to do some holiday shopping through sunday. and says black friday buys with the saturday before christmas

streets. all happened in the early morning hours. they believe one man is responsible for all the crimes. police say they also responded to five reports of damage to parked cars. they say someone either shot or threw a marble-sized object at the rear windows causing them to shatter. families across the state had a warm meal on their tables this thanksgiving thanks to the generosity of others. earlier this week the behind e swing. how students and seniors are making a difference this holiday season. >> can i help you? >> these bags are full of food ready for families who need a hand these holiday season. >> each contains enough for a traditional turkey meal with fresh vegetables, turkeys, things to make a pie. >> several organizations donated the food.

food and a special meal for someone. we can't service everybody but we try to service as much as we can. >> in the meantime the sea coast family food pantry in ports muthsdz created a market-type sfirs for those in need. and. the pantry serves more than 1500 people each month. now it >> the vacation is the time you should have food. but for some families it's a real stressful time because their kids are home, they're not getting free or reduced lunch. suddenly they're thinking how are we going to afford this? so we fill that gap. then some of those families end up coming here on a regular basis if they need extra support. >> they provide both hunger support as well as educational

she was not sick and her family and friends are shocked by her death. she was best known for her role as carol brady on the brady bunch. she was also a contestant with dancing on the stars. she made an appearance on the show back in september. she was 82 years old. now to an incredible story out of california. a mother of two who vanished three weeks ago while out for a jog has been found alive. >> we are very ecstatic to report that shery been located and reunited with her husband and family on this day of thanksgiving. >> it was just a rush of relief and a lot of tears and realizing that it was over and the best possible sense. >> police say sherry was kidnapped. she was found yesterday on the side of the road in restraints after being released by her captures. the mother was found about 150

she was treated at the hospital and released. her husband reported her missing on november 2nd when she failed to pick up her kids from day care. this morning the people who kidnapped her are still at large. police are looking for two women bleeveled to have been involved in the abduction. with the holiday shopping season in full swing kids are making their christmas wish list. but there is a new warning for parents out there. there are recalled toys still being sold on line that children. >> an urgent warning for parents after this toy truck apparently caught fire on a washington highway. >> i couldn't believe this toy, it's in the back of our truck on fire. >> toys are us has temporarily pulled the truck from sale pending further investigation. the manufacturer telling for tune magazine it is aware of the incident. this year alone at least 44 toys have been recalled due to

the puck hopped, who spun the backhand there for the goal. the senators tied it up in the second and later in the period they took the lead. ottowa went on to win 3-1. boston hosts calgary tonight. the manchester high school football team took on trinity in the annual turkey bowl yesterday. first quarter, touchdown. that made it 7-0 central. later in the quarter, central handed it off for a 32-yard rushing touchdown to put central up 14-0 in the game. still in the first, trinity was driving, ball snapped over, rolled along until it was scooped up and later took it

central went on to win this year's turkey bowl by a score of 48-8. the softball team got into the spirit of thanksgiving and visited the center for disability. they read stories and did some bowling. if you're away from your tv right now you're going to want to check this out. how guinness world record for the greatest height where a basketball was shot. one of the three members nailed the shot from nearly 600 feet from the top in the swiss alps. this is an incredible shot. this reminds me of myself. it's falling, going, i think you know -- the hoop is way down at the bottom of this. 600 feet. so here's the deal.

i thought he was there all day doing it but that was his third try. >> do you think you can do it? >> let's check the weather, and see. >> analyze the cross-winds. that looks like it was a lot of fun. did you have some fun yesterday? >> i had a lot of fun. >> i'm a stuffing person, i had to have so much sin white outside. look at this shot. some light snow accumulating there. if you live to the north or west of concord there's a good shot that you had some snow overnight and there's some on the ground. that means the roads could be slippery. this is a live look in plymouth. you can see the campus there with a little bit of white and in the parking lot you can make out some tire tracks. so that means we probably have less than an inch there. of course that is enough again

anywhere you drive this morning. even in southern areas we actually have rain showers still coming down but that can make the roads slippery, too. low visibility with low clouds and fog lingering this morning. not much showing up on the radar but that doesn't mean that nothing is happening where you are. it just probably is some of that fine mist and drizzle coming down. so we're still going to be stuck with just this unsettled kind of wet pattern as we get into the day today. th continuing along 93 from franklin and also in the area. so again be careful with some of these slick spots. heavier downpours now from dairy into salem instead of just the regular drizzle we actually have some heavier showers ongoing. but off toward the west there is more cloud cover here. so you can see we'll be stuck with clouds in just this unsettled weather pattern as we push through the next 24 hours or so. here are the temperatures.

freezing in a lot of spots. you see plymouth at 32. 33 in white field. if you're anywhere in probably two, three, four degrees of freezing that means the roads could be slippery so be careful. from concord points to the north and to the west, we're in the 30s but getting into the mid 30s when you get in to the mid 30s when you get in to the southern part of the state. northern areas some more snow showers ongoing with minimal accumulation as we go through the day. not expecting anything too heavy. by overnight the system pulls away. tomorrow clouds, snow showers likely up in the mountains, and maybe even a couple of areas of drizzle in the southern part of the state. sunday finally we'll see some sunshine in the southern part of the state but still some snow showers up north. let's talk about the forecast
