that man was taken to elliot hospital for smoke inhalation. most of the people here were told to stay in their rooms as fire crews were able to get the fire under control. shattered windows and show where a two alarm fire started friday night inside a large apartment building on hanover street in manchester. >> when they investigated, they found a heavy smoke condition on the first floor. mike: more than 100 people living building and most are elderly. >> this is a familiar building for us. we come here often for ambulance calls and for all arms like this. mike: first floor residents were evacuated but firefighters decided to not even a qa to rest of the building because of the amount of people. -- decided to not evacuate the rest of the building the amount of people.
