wmur's ray brewer is here now to explain what happened, and how it is affecting other children at the facility. ray: sean his angels learning , academy closed down voluntarily after the incident, but that left 30 families scrambling to find care for their children right away. it was back on november 18, a man calling police, saying he had spotted a three-year-old child alone, walking up the ramp to route four from route 155 in lee -- a very busy area. while other witnes with the child, the man went and checked with the nearby daycare, confirming that the toddler had somehow wandered off. the child was unhurt but the , state bureau of childcare licensing and police are now investigating. and the live and learn learning center nearby was only able to accept nine of the families. >> we have a waitlist of people waiting to get spots, and to have to tell a parent, "i can't take your child," and they look at me and say, "what am supposed

is closed this morning as police and the bureau of childcare licensing investigate an incident involving a child. authorities say a three-year-old was found walking alone on a busy road earlier this month. they say the child wandered away from his angels learning academy. ray brewer joins us live in the studio now with the latest. ray? ray: sean the daycare in , question voluntarily closed following this incident, giving parents just a matter of hours to find a new place to send their kids. on november 18, lee police say a three-year-old child was found walking alone on route 155, heading up the ramp to route four. the speed limit in this area is 40 mph. several witnesses stopped and stayed with the child, while a man checked the nearby daycare -- his angels learning academy, and confirmed that the child somehow got out. johanna booth-miner owns live and learn early learning center about a mile away.

the hospital. she fell off a bunk bed and hit her head off the floor. sean: investigators believe this was more than a fall. so far, no arrests have been made. we're also learning new details about a case in which two people were charged after police say children were found living in filthy conditions in a manchester home. court paperwork for samantha grenier says her son was restrained to a bed for six hours or more during the day, as well as overnight, usually while unsupe the maternal grandfather of the two children, duwayne erickson, says his heart is broken over what is alleged to have happened. his son-in-law, 26-year-old james grenier, faces child endangerment and reckless conduct charges, after police say they found his two-year-old girl and four-year-old boy in extremely unsanitary and unsafe conditions. police say the boy was found covered in feces and urine, and the girl naked in her crib, also covered in feces.
