police department he has addressed but for all of the protesters who have been out here for the better part of the year and doing this the right way. he said this small group is the one that is causing problems, again, intent on violence here and they are very concerned. he pushed on that and said these aren't protesters, they are criminals and we need help from the public to identify them. we know that two businesses were burglarized during the evening here. an officer was treated after he took a brick to the face. bottles were thrown at officers as well. as for the plan moving forward, all of the chief would say we are going to continue to show patience and professionalism and try to keep the businesses and those exercising their right to free speech safe. back to you, melissa. >> jay gray, thank you very much. days after the high profile gop debate, donald trump is once again stirring controversy. he is refusing to apologize for comments he made this weekend about moderator megyn kelly and trump's rivals are lining up to

after nooen 9:00 p.m. on saturday after seeing a body of a child through the window. officers went in the house and discovered eight bodies. the suspect 48-year-old david connolly was taken into custody after firing a gun when officers entered, they discovered that connolly had an outstanding warrant for aggravated assault and the motive appears to be related to a dispute with connolly connolly's former domestic pattern according to officials. in southwest colorado, according to the agency more than 3 million gallons of waste water containing traces of lead and arsenic has spilled into the river. crews broke an outside wall of an old goal mine causing the water inside it to spill into the river. the waste now stretches into new mexico. more than 200 miles from where it started. residents are understandably upset. >> it makes me want to cry. i mean, it's a disaster here.

stories making news this morning. the farmers of two teenage boys missing from jupiter, florida, have announced that they have ended their privately-led search on saturday. the boys were reported missing when they didn't return from a fifg trip on july 24th. through a family spokesperson, they had, in part, we love our boys and want them home. today, o hope becomes our prayer that one day perry and austin will be returned to us. the u.s. coast guard officially suspended their search at sunset this past friday. in los angeles, yesterday, police car chased this car that was missing a tire for more than 70 miles over several freeways. the pursuit finally ended when the axle worn down. the driver suspended to police soon afterwards. taiwan is cleaning up after a typhoon that hit the island nation on saturday and turning roads into rivers. six people were killed when 185 people were injured.

in critical but unstable coatndition at this hour. while that suspect is in surgery, four st. louis county police detectives have been placed on administrative leave. they call a remarkable amount of gunfire in the ferguson area at the time. much was caught on tape. >> a news crew captured the moment gunfire erupted in ferguson where protesters were marking the one-year anniversary of the shooting death of michael brown. moments after the shots were fired, witnesses reported a man lying face down and covered in blood behind an empty restaurant. officers have been tracking that maayn all night long during the protesters because they believed he was arm. he approached detectives in a vehicle and opened fire. the chief described how that encounter ended.
