the 52nd police precinct station house. he lives here in this apartment building with the mother. this is 183rd street. at this point no one has been charged. no one has been arrested but neighbors and detectives want to figure out what happened. it really was a horrifying scene. neighbors tell us police believe the newborn with the umbilical cord still attached was thrown out of the window from the 7th floor of the apartment building here. the superintendent's wife found the newborn on the ground in a courtyard area at 2:30 in the afternoon. the investigation continues police have not charged anyone but a lot of people in shock by what happened. >> i would have took the baby in. no excuse to throw a living baby out of a window. like that is just repulsive. >> reporter: and there are a lot of residential buildings out here. police, we are told, are looking at some surveillance video. there might have been a
