tragedy overnight when an air ambulance carrying a critical tient crashed en route to the hospital killing everyone on board. officials say it was supposed to be a ten-minute flight. the skylife medical helicopter took off at about 6:52 p.m. less than 15 minutes later ems dispatch failed to make contact with the aircraft during a routine safety check. half an hour later police launched a search. >> unable to confirm the terl number, but it is recognizable as a skylife medevaco. search teams found the helicopter 15 miles north of bakersfield, california, the medical team's final destination. all four people on board, the pilot, paramedic, a nurse and a patient were killed. their names have not been released, but the ceo of american ambulance says they were an experienced team. the company's staff w celebrating at its holiday party when they got the news. >> we're rallying together,
