investigations, i would give overwhelming odds that tragically this is a drug death. when you rule out foul play, when there is no history of any kind of significant disease, heart and lungs. when you rule out any kind of intervention, foul play, anything of environmental nature, you come down to an autopsy which is essentially negative and that probably means drugs. there is a rumor, calm it what you will, that he was taking percocet. percocet contains oxycodone and as id aminophyns. oxycodone, oxycontin is one of the biggest drugs in this epidemic sweeping the country. oxycodone is a powerful semi synthetic an fal geesic. it presses into the brain and leads to depression of the heart and lungs. it is just as potent as morphine

almost as potent when taken orally and acetiminophin. that adds to it. but that is a part of the picture. so i think that this almost certainly is going to prove to be a drug death. >> a week ago, dr. wecht, there was this plane coming from 300 miles trgs plane descended at a rate indicative there was some sort of medical emergency on board him we know there was someone not responsive on board. his reps say that he was treated and released for flu-like symptoms. does that add up to you? what does that tell you? >> if that's part of the clinical medical history, obviously, this was such a

required a claim of an emergency landing, et cetera. it could not have been a cardiac condition, right, or a cerebral problem or a pulmonary embolism and he was discharged and i understand he couldn't get a private room so did not want to say. so the fact that you had that claim, an mortgages situation, the treatment, evidently a response, because i think then he went on to give another concert, whatever. so, again, that fits into the drug pick. i cannot think of any medical pathological condition that would give you that claim of a scenario with those kind of incredible ups and downs in such a short period of time, other than drugs. he had an acute drug episode, they probably treated him with narcan and he got better as you always do, then he took the drug again. most regrettable. >> bottom line, the was so sudden. >> we will get a lot more
