the rally back in march. this time fights striking out outside between trump's opponents and supporters. last thursday hundreds of anti-trump protestors in california spilling out into the streets, blocking traffic and attacking police cars. knbc capturing this trump supporter bandaged and talking to medical personnel. police arrived in riot gear. 20 people arrested. donald trump cruising into the golden state with 172 delegates and the last stop on the road to the republican nomination. >> no state in america has suffered worse from open borders than the state of california. it's impact on jobs, wages, security, schools, hospitals, has been devastated. i love california. june 7th. >> scores of protestors with many demonstrators spilling out

cruz six months ago. this could have helped ted cruz if there's no such thing as donald trump. this hurts ted cruz now. it's why the stop trump movement couldn't get people to rally around ted cruz. there is 100%, nearly 100% conviction among republicans that donald trump would not be a good republican nominee but there's no consensus that somehow ted cruz would be a better alternative and what you hear john boehner say is essentially what you hear behind the scenes here in washington with a lot of republicans. as much as they fear trump, they think the alternative in cruz is worse. this is why cruz is stuck where he's at right now. >> what you're saying is the prospect for a united republican party in this general election season are extremely dim. >> it's very dim. if the choices are trump and cruz it's not going to be a party that's going to be able to unite with itself and that's why

out -- and i'm convinced now, the stop trump movement totally lost all of it's steam when paul ryan said there's no way. don't expect me to be your savior at the convention. don't expect me to be somehow encouraging people to put me on the ballot and i think that's what we're staring at here and that's what the republican party is staring at. one more point, matt, john boehner is not speaker of the house because of ted cruz. don't forget that and john boehner hasn't forgotten that. >> let's talk about indiana. it's supposed to be the alamo for the stop trump movement. does it still hold that potential? >> it doesn't because at this point trump can lose indiana and still get to the magic number. it's a little harder but the good news for trump is if he wins indiana, wins it by a point, what does ted cruz do from here? what is his rational after this? cruz put it all on the line.

biden lost his oldest son bo to brain cancer. >> we'll talk about a bizarre and frightening scene in baltimore where police shot a suspect that walked into a television station wearing an animal costume and surgical mask and what appeared to be a bomb strapped to his chest. tom costello joins us with the latest on this. what can you tell us? >> good morning. a very calm security guard kept the suspect distracted while employees got out. he claimed he had a bomb and he was talking about a government conspiracy. social media video shot by a fox station employee of baltimore police confronting a suspect that claimed he had a bomb. after refusing to surrender police opened fire. it all started when a man wearing an animal costume, surgical mask and what appeared

showed up at the tv station carrying a flash drive that he wanted the station to air. a man that identified him as edward breezy told our baltimore affiliate the suspect was his son alex. a station security guard kept him disstrakt tracted alerting employees to evacuate. >> he said i don't want to hurt anyone. i don't want to hurt you. i just want my message heard. >> in the parking lot he had his car on fire. as he walked out of the station s.w.a.t. team officers were waiting guns drawn. they ordered him on the ground but when he refused they opened fire. police stayed back as a robot moved in to remove the suspect's vest but it turns out the vest wasn't made of explosives. >> those devices were actually chocolate can day bars wrapped in aluminum foil with wiring connecting each of them.

>> officers cautiously moved in. the suspect taking to a waiting armored vehicle. photos on facebook give a glimpse into his life. his dad saying his son is not a threat and a recent break up is to blame. >> it looks like he has just had a mental break down. >> he is also saying his son said a few weeks agatha he had had a revelation from god or from jesus that the world was going to come to some sort of a terrible event on june 3rd and he was trying to get the word out with the flash drive. >> thank you. the fbi arrested three more people in connection with the san bernardino shooting in september. prosecutors say three people related to the shooter were involved in a marriage scheme to allow one of them to remain in the united states fraudulently. investigators uncovered the sham marriage during their

that killed 14 people and wounded 22 others. >> there's a new twist in the investigation of the death of pop super star prince. law enforcement looking into what role a doctor or doctors may have played in a possible drug overdose. stephanie gosk is in minnesota with the latest. hi, stephanie. >> good morning. with no official cause of death details into the investigation of prince's final days continue to leak out. the associated press is reporting that investigators are looking into whether a doctor prescribed drugs for him that lead to an overdose and whether a doctor was on board that plane that made an emergency landing the day pfr his before his death. meanwhile the family had the first meeting about the estate and it could get complicated. >> no will, no spouse, and no children. prince's estate worth as much as 300 million will be split among

but the sheriff's department did release a list of calls for service at paisley park. police were requested for suspicious activity, alarms and fires. last year in august and then in september the reason was listed as medical with no further details. >> so the mystery remains. she was lucky enough to catch prince in atlanta for his final performance. >> as he left the stage, the backdrop behind him was a younger photo of himself and he turned around and he saluted that photo to his younger self-and as he left he put his fist in the air and it was very triumphant. >> a public memorial is scheduled in los angeles on may 6th. the mayor says it's going to be quite a party.

thank you. >> now to the severe weather outbreak wreaking havoc across the south. another 24 million people in the line of fire as the storms sweep across the region and they're already dealing with dangerous flooding after days of heavy rain there. miguel is in gulf port, mississippi for us this morning. hey, miguel, good morning. >> good morning. welcome to what is now part of the new biloxi river. this morning is it some 4.5 feet above flood stage. this was all caused by a massive storm yesterday. i want to show you what it looked like here. more than 10 inches of rain fell here in just a couple of hours. it was a dramatic scene. the mayor declared an emergency here. there are more than 200 911 calls, more than 50 rescues made here and a wild week of weather all across the country. more than 22 tornadoes touching down in 7 different states.

was shot by one of the officers. katy perry's legal battle with california nun over the purchase of their content and nearly filed court documents and a vatican decree was lost in translation. >> it's not often worlds collide between pop stars and the vatican. especially not over real estate but that's exactly what is happening in los angeles. two nuns battle it out in court to determine if katy perry has a right to own their former convent. take it as an article of faith. real estate can be an unholy mess. who owns the right to sell the 22,000 square foot mansion that once housed the blessed virgin mary convent. none of the nuns live on the property but they still believe the right to sell is theirs and two of them struck a deal with the local developer to buy the property for $15.5 million in june of last year. >> i got very swept away by the

>> the los angeles diocese claims the sell is invalid and the nuns gave control of the property to them in 1992. they entered into a similar deal with pop star katy perry. the dispute made it to the los angeles superior court and just over two weeks ago the judge ruled in favor of the arch diocese referring from a decree from the vatican dismissing the sisters case. the sisters argue the decree was incorrectly translated and now filed a motion for reconsideration in order to save the decision. >> it clearly says matters are not concluded in the vatican. the judge should not have ruled that matters were concluded. >> first part the archdiocese stated their main concern is and have always been the care and wellbeing of all the heart of mary sisters and they stand with
