he gave us an update on the situation. it is calming down now. but we can show you video of what it looks like earlier when the investigators were activity and he told us that around 2:30 a call was made that came from the community center parking lot here. and there was a man found with multiple gunshot wounds next to a white car and the car's trunk was open and the man was dead from the gunshot wounds. they do not have any suspects at this time. and they do not have a name. a related to the car that they found. i want to ad this happened near evelyn elementary school and the school was closed due to the holiday but the sheriff did tell us that tomorrow for

left this gas station picking up some snacks and walking less road. as you indicated, the family, both families have messages for the driver. >> i just know that we're going to miss him very much. our hopes to find the person that did this. >> reporter: janice is talking about her 13-year-old jennifer, a girl that loved art and animals and friendly to everybody. saturday night, jennifer, 16- year-old kyle straight and 14- year-old steven daniels were walking along the side of 421 and struck by a vehicle that roared off the side of the road into the group. her 17-year-old sister was with the group and missed getting hit by inches. >> i was there by the side.

books and we have this mission to get books to every child. >> and book harvest will have collect a hundred thousand books in the last five year. and people braved the cold temps to march in downtown raleigh this morning in remembrance of martin luther king, jr. what did people say today? it's about what people think martin luther king, jr. would think about our society today. there is still work that needs to be done. through music and through words. >> we neededo coming to the as people. >> reporter: a march to remember martin luther king, jr. and what he stood for. >> it means everything. i have to represent dr. king's dream. >> reporter: many say that dr. conditioning's message resinates with him.

normal all week. and we have a likely chance of rain friday with the possibility of snow mixing in. and that is a full weather week. it is currently 30 and we look up north and our friends in chicago and columbus, they're in the single digits and teens. some of that colder air is still on the way as we head into the next two nights. so here we're going to go hour by hour. temperature over windchill by 25, we'll feel like 18. tonight is it feel like 18. and we got clear skies and we got light winds, not calm. and that comes into play partly cloudy of five to seven-mile-an- hour winds tomorrow morning degrees. and the cold front is now well. and the high pressure will settle in on top of us and when that happens, we've been

second night off a cold front, the high is on top of us and that is the coldest night and that is what we have for you tonight and tomorrow. so let's skip ahead. i'll take you through tomorrow, you see it hardly anything going on with clouds or precipitation across the tar heel state. and let's talk about the flurries on wednesday. i'll stop it early wednesday and you'll notice the clouds coming in from the west and you'll notice the snow up into the mountains. and i'm going stop it at 4:00 wednesday. so we're two days ahead here and we'll start to see some clouds move in and all of this moisture up there is going to totally fall apart. but there will be enough where we could see a little bit of light rain or maybe a lit flurries, and nonaccumulating and not a big impact just excitement wednesday night. and then we get into thursday, they will warm up a bit. but that the change late this week and most likely on friday

big area of low pressure is going to come up from the south and bring in a lot of moisture with it and most of that will be rain. and some of it, though, as cold air tries to push in from the north that could be snow. and that could be early friday and early saturday. in between there, again, mostly rain. so a lot going on this week. and the coldest temperature since february coming tomorrow morning and the snow flurries are wednesday with little impact as you drive and walking around but always some excitement and big storm system friday into saturday and the possibility of snow is still a of several days away. and in the meantime, this is what you walk out the door with tomorrow morning. and those are temperatures. subtract five degrees to get your windchill. it it going to be cold and it will be cold during the day as we barely get above freezing and we're up to 40 on wednesday and the sky a few flurries
