>> good morning to you at home as well. very cold this morning, almost 10 degrees colder than where we were 24 hours ago. high pressure pretty much overhead and that's providing us with clear skies as well as a northerly breeze ushering in these colder temperatures. from inside looking out not so bad of a day. this is a picture from the top hill restaurant in chapel hill. right now we're at 25 in raleigh, lewisburg and rocky. temperature of 30 in clayton. south hill virginia checking in at 23 degrees so in some cases we haven't inclined 10 degrees yet. and we will not climb a lot as we head through the rest of the windchill is a big factor if you are heading out about right now over the next -- or over the next couple hours because windchills still dropping temperatures. it feels more like 15 degrees in raleigh so that's a 10 actual temperature.

orange county deputies are handling homicide investigation this morning. they found a man's body at the f1 community center monday afternoon. they said the victim had been shot multiple times. deputies hope that an eyewitness will give them a clue they need to make an arrest. >> folks are at home taking time off from work with their families, and we hope that someone heard gunshots as they were fired.

sight work beautiful if you are inside looking out. if you are outside in it like we've been talking about, layers encouraged. temperatures elsewhere, fayetteville and clinton all right around 28 degrees. clayton good morning you are at 30 35 lewisburg and rocky mount are in the 20s. toward south hills you are right around 23 degrees. compare this to 24 hours ago. we've been talking about it. it's a colder day. it's eight degrees colder than where we were 24 hours ago in raleigh, durham and sanford. 12 degrees colder in fayetteville and 10 degrees colder in clinton. i expect this to continue only expecting three at -- three degrees above freezing, 33 at 4:00to 26 quickly by 6 pm with temperatures continuing to drop from there on out. 23 the temperature right around 8 pm. here's the forecast for today, high pressure dominating the forecast bringing us all that sunshine.

northerly breeze and some cold mark -- cold arctic air. with the high pressure around, cloud free throughout the afternoon. things start to change overnight tonight. we start to see clouds around midnight but noticeable as you are waking up tomorrow morning. we are watching a quick moving system back to our west and i certainly think accumulating snow possible across the mountains. hear a lot of the moisture will start to fall apart. the key though, look at the time. i think are forecast to hold for tomorrow -- some flurries and maybe a burst of the light snow shower. if you see that shower, a light dusting on grassy surfaces only , as quick as this moves out it should be moving off to our eas and those skies will clear quickly. that's system number one of the week. we then have another one, this is what everyone's talking about. the timing will be friday into
