tomorrow afternoon, lets go over to our chief meteorologist wes hohenstein. this started at 3:00 a.m. this morning and 20 hours later, we still have rain, sleet, snow, and ice on the map tonight. it was supposed to be a snow day. right? from school and from work. we didn't get to enjoy the snow day. we had a miserable day with ice, with wind, and with cold, and a lot of that is going to be back tomorrow. tonight, a lot of what we're seeing is light precipitation, but it's light freezing rain, light sleet, and light snow. yes, there is a lot more dry space out there than what we've seen in the last 20 hours. however, there is a small amount of moisture that's still going to move through overnight and then we're still expecting this snow to wraparound on its way out and bring us some very minor accumulations tomorrow. so i'm not even sure tomorrow there's going to be a lot of snow to go out and play in. it just might make things worse
11:01 pm
a couple other things we're watching besides the radar. temperatures you see, just a few of us mainly in the sand hills along the i95 are above freezing and that's barely. everyone else in thes to of 20s. anything falling and that stuff already on the ground is going to remain frozen or get frozen. then we have the winds. a lot of ice on power lines and trees. i don't know if you've heard t but trees snapping, power transformers popping all over town because our winds keep blowing that ice around on the trees and power lines and it's gusting even higher than that. so power outages will continue to be a problem. in addition to stuff still coming out of the sky, issues with travel and we're not going to warm up tomorrow. we do have warmer weather and sunshine in the forecast. i'll take you to that and go hour by hour through tomorrow in a few minutes. >> with the precipitation continuing to freezing rain and sleet, there's a wide range of

downed power lines as wes was saying to slick sidewalks and roads. >> our meteorologist shows us the dangers supposed -- posed by this mix. >> the winter storm warning continues. we're getting precipitation which continues to pile up the ice on these tree branches. you can see here almost a quarter of an inch of ice. that gets dangerous because some of this can be heavy and fall. another thing is, i've got sustained winds 12.6 miles per hour, but it's been gusting. these branches will probably fall down, power lines might fall down. it's a dangerous situation out here. the other thing to think about maybe tomorrow, if you're going to head out to your car, this is what you might find. all of this ice on here. you're concerned about cleaning that, obviously, if you were to drive. but the thing that i'm worried about is when you step towards your car, you'll be on your sidewalk or driveway. look what you're walking on in a lot of instances. all this sleet that's ice. if we do get snow starting tomorrow morning that, could be covered and you won't even see it. that's an accident waiting to happen.
