shakin' all over good evening, thank you for joining us. we had lots of sunshine, lots of ice and snow melting this afternoon. temperatures are dropping against 10 -- again tonight. meteorologist, bill reh is here again tonight. we are at 30 degrees right now, some of the treated roads will be all right at 30 degrees. untreated spots, stuff that got washed off, if there is moisture out there it will freeze and we are going to get cold tonight. high pressure right over us there, it is going to keep the winds light. it will allow the temperature to drop down as we look at some of those temperatures right now, 31 durham, 30 degrees in raleigh, 29 fayetteville. already down to 24 in south hill, virginia. 25 roxborough. the overnight lows are going to be in the low 20s to mid 20s in general. there could be a little bit of

sleet and snow still on the ground. there is enough moisture in the atmosphere there could be a little fall condensed out there as you get toward dawn. d o n. otherwise, mostly clear tonight with those freezing temperatures. back to reality tomorrow, as you have the drivetime forecast for you. the sun will be up at 7:21, 24 at 6 a.m., 25 at seven, 32 at nine, clear and calm possible black ice on roadways that stay damp and wet. the side roads all have ice on them. you look at the future cast, the clear skies, and a couple of harmless thin clouds for your drivetime forecast tomorrow morning. weatherwise, that should cooperate but road wise it is going to be a little tricky in the morning. there is no official black ice advisory from the weather service i am telling you there will be a little bit in spots. the careful in the morning.

i came back for the game. >> definitely a good night for football. super bowl 50, peyton manning and the denver broncos versus the "breaking cam newton and the carolina panthers. they are a four-point -- favorite. turning to serious is now, deputies are investigating the death of a 7-year-old attacked and killed by a dog. the uppity say it happened on odom road in lumberton. no word on the circumstances leading to the attacker weather the child had any connection to the dog. following friday's storm several thousand people across the viewing area are still without power tonight. most of the weekend, every home in the 1600 block of crescent drive in spring lake was impacted by outages. officials say before restoring power, in the area, workers had to remove tree limbs that fell on the lights. >> it has been miserable.

the mission each night during the winter storm. more than 30 had to sleep on the floor. the shelter provides hot meals and a warm place to sleep for people who are homeless and also for anyone who may be out of power at their house. he talked to one man who said the snow finally drove him to go to the shelter. he now not only plans to spend the night but enroll in the program there. >> my past has not been that great, i came here to change my life entered my life around for the better and get out of the cold, snow and bad weather. to better myself. these people here it is available, they do help a lot of people. >> they do really good work the durham rescue mission says the cost two dollars and five cents -- the blizzard killed at thousands of flights and shot down several of the nations largest cities.

cleanup. >>reporter:all along the east coach -- coast digging, scraping, and plowing can be heard. crews are trying to clear the roads, as best they can. >> while we have made some progress, there is still a lot more to do >>reporter:washington, dc schools and city governments are close on monday as is the federal government. but, some of the city's transit will be back up and running. the dc mayor cautioned residents about one of the big concerns in the coming days, black ice. >> we expect that with the temperature dropping tonight, and for every night this week, that we will see continued slick and dangerous roadways >>reporter:in new york, even though the travel ban has been lifted, and buses and most trains are operational, officials are still urging residents to stay off the roads.

do not try to shovel it out today, unless you have an emergency or something truly urgent >>reporter:the coastal flood warning has been lifted in new jersey where several cities were inundated with high water that caused widespread power outages. officials say the worst appears to be over >> we have done very well in this storm, and we have no concerns about flooding or damage from flooding anytime soon. >>reporter:drivers in at least three states were stranded for hours during the peak of the blizzard. one of the worst backups was on the pennsylvania turnpike prompting an apology from the turnpike chairman, and the promise of a thorough review. airports in philadelphia, and new york resumed very limited service sunday afternoon. here in dc, reagan national, and dulles international both remained closed they will open at least one runway tomorrow morning at each airport so limited service will resume.

sky, a few high clouds of mixing with the blue skies but all in all it is going to be a pretty day. 31 durham, 30 raleigh, 29 fayetteville, 28 rocky mount, 24 south health, virginia, 25 roxboro. skies are clear. today was pretty nice at 47 degrees. tomorrow will even be a little milder. as a matter of fact, let's give you that hourly forecast. sun comes up at 7:21, clear skies, 27 degrees down to 24, that low officially at 23. a little bit of fog possible on areas that had snow and sleet on the ground. it could happen if enough moisture is hanging close to the ground. otherwise mostly sunny skies tomorrow. 32 at nine, so when will we get above freezing?

and 10 a.m. in the morning for it by noon time we will be a 44, 49 at 3 o'clock, very close to that high of 50. mostly clear at 6 p.m. back down to 43 degrees. our next weather maker is tuesday night into wednesday. a cold front will a protest. but the key, rain will be likely, especially heading out wednesday morning. but, no frozen stuff. that is a big change. that is pretty cool. high pressure close by, very cold air tonight, and then there is some high thin clouds tomorrow. mostly sunny skies as that air comes in. what we will have on tuesday, partly cloudy skies to start, and then ending up mostly cloudy. i am going to keep it dry until tuesday evening, or tuesday night and then here comes the front but we will see little

should see a little round of it. he will try to push off to the east but i will keep it in the forecasted forecaster wednesday afternoon and then we will temporarily dry out a little bit. the stationary front might put a wave along it. i could give us a chance of some rain also on thursday. after the cold night tonight, we talked about the 20s. mostly sunny on your monday, south winds five-a. 53 raeford and fayetteville, 51 sanford. coastal plain upper 40s rocky mount, wilson, 54 clinton. the triangle will be around 50 degrees, siler city 51 and that some upper 40s up that i 85 corridor from henderson to south hill, virginia. tomorrow 50 degrees, low 23. once again, i know a lot of schools are delayed and such, it is going to be called. no wind chill. 24. we discussed after 9 o'clock we will get above freezing.
