good evening, i'm maggie new land. it happened about 7:00 where a victim was taken to the hospital. we do know that the victim is expected to be okay. we are following breaking news out of blacksburg, virginia where police found the remains of a 13-year-old. they charged a virginia tech athlete for her death. they arrested someone. police said they don't know how they new each other. you can sign up for wncn news app. look for it available for apple and android devices.

this morning. still no word on what caused the fire. fire crews in raleigh said it started in the kitchen. it happened just before 6:00 tonight. you can see several units on the scene there. fortunately to one was hurt in the fire. there was severe spoke damage in the home. tonight, dozens attended a vigil for four capable teens. wncn beau minnick has our story. >> reporter: inside a house of worship. tears are being shed. a mom not sure if her son will be coming home. >> there is so much pain right now. too much pain. >> reporter: inside this church

one of their own is currently in the custody of ice officials. he is an avid soccer player. >> i just want to have a better opportunity. >> acosta is one of four north carolina teens detained by immigration this week. he came from hondurus in 2014. [ speaking a foreign language] >> reporter: she says her son could be the victim of gang violence if he goes back. several of his teachers were there to show their support. >> not many of us are prepared to tell our student. we thought coming to school was a safe thing to do. >> reporter: ice spokesperson

are hoping he can stay in the u.s. >> by praying, by being in the community, by being together. i think it gives us hope. >> reporter: organizers say there is a big possibility they will hold vigils like this in north carolina. one person is dead and seven others hurt after a shooting and stabbing in denver, colorado. they do have a person of interest. they have a person in custody in a shootout that left a man dead weeks ago. they shot and killed jose rodriguez two weeks ago.

earlier this week deputies pulled over the group saying they were connected to a separate home break-in. that's when they linked them to the murder case. they are being held without bond. in fayette village, they are looking for a person responsible for shooting people at a party. police were at the scene for several hours looking for clues. all three victims were sent to the hospital. if you have any information call police. deputies in durham a man snatched an elderly woman. this started as a robbery call. 46-year-old willie daniels facing a list of charges. a child was inside the car and had to go to the hospital. that child should be okay.

things looking good. there are a couple of clouds up in west virginia. temperatures as we mention 47 in raleigh, 34 in fayette village, 40 in south hill virginia, 37 in roxboro. you can see they will drop into the 30s tonight. as we look at the hourly forecast, 37 better than this morning. 42 at 8:00, 65 at 2:00, 65 at 4:00 and 59 degrees at 6:00. 66 raleigh, 66 durham and 6 in fayetteville. we will continue into monday with this weather.

as early as tuesday night more likely wednesday will be the big day we see a good chance of showers. they will become likely. mild air will continue in that cold front. we might see an isolated thunderstorm with the approach of that cold front. some of the high thin clouds move in around dinnertime. it will be partly cloudy tomorrow night. as we head back to work on school and mono, partly sunny skies. this low front and pressure will come our way. it will cloud us up. that front rides over us. depending where that front is it is cooler to the north and warmer to the south. over the middle of us i will split the difference and drop the high to the low 60 which is still pretty mild but not upper
