thousands of bottles expected to arrive in flint michigan. >> they've been without clean drinking water. this is after the city switched water sources to save money. >> clean water collections happening all over the country. many children in flint michigan have tested positive for elevated levels of led after drinking the water. people say they're outraged and want to help. >> across the country thousands -- thousands of bottles of water being shipped out. >> we take water for grant and use it it so much, whether it's for drinking or bathing or cooking. >> a water drive was organized on saturday, and they say it's the least they can do.

this morning. then we have more in the 40s the further south you head. 44 in sanford, so getting to your forecast for today we see a broken line of showers back to our north and west, that's a cold front could bring us an isolate shower close to sun set and into the evening, all in all today during the daylight hours going to be dry. tomorrow we're in the backside that have front. we'll drop back into the upper 50s but momentarily look at wednesday upper 60s but a good chance for rain. i'll let you know what it means for the rest of our work week coming in. a winter storm has killed one person and damaged several homes and cars in southern california. it happened yesterday, a driver died when a tree fell on their car, and a similar story in la with strong

donald trump appears to hold a slim edge over ted cruz. and today more than 15,000 bottles of clean water from raleigh will help in michigan. it started the in 2014 during the switch in the city's water source. this morning the panthers and broncos in california ahead of super bowl 50. the panthers will be staying in san jose while the broncos will be staying in santa clara. a crash blocked parts of i-40. troopers say a propane tanker are rear-ended a car carrying a mattress. the car was going about 35 miles per hour in the 65-mile an hour zone. troopers charged the driver of the tanker, crews took one person to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

20 minutes after the crash. a man is facing attempted murder charges after he and two other men were shot at the a party on saturday. police say nearly 30 people were attending a birthday gathering when three men starting arguing. they say the 25-year old shot a 21-year old multiple times and then a second man began firing as well. >> it's all about people's safety, everyone's safety, the safety of others and bringing everyone together, you know, we're trying to give back, a lot of the things that we're doing in here includes giving back. >> according to police a search warrant that included upscale's parking lot turned up narcotics, drug paraphernalia and several guns as well. this week the man accused of killing three students is scheduled to appear in court. authorities say craig hicks killed three. he is accused of shooting the 3 last year in the couple's home.

three counts of first degree murder. police say the shootings were motivated by a neighbor parking dispute but the offenses remain adamant that the shooting were a hate crime. two engineering students now under arrest in the abduction and murder of a 13-year old girl. he's charged with abduction and first degree murder. a 19-year old is charged with improper disposal of a body and accessory after the fact. according to police they knew each other before her disappearance. >> he used this relationship to his advantage to abduct and then kill her. . >> state police spent the day searching a pond on virginia tech's campus her body was found appeal a highway. today we could learn more

amtrak train derailment. federal investigators expected to release evidence and reports later today. excess is sieve speed a has already been cited as a factor in the crash. now, the ntsb has yet to say why the train was going to fast. right now all three inmates who escaped from a california prison more than a week ago back in custody. the orange county california sheriffs office released new video of the escaped inmates being taken back to jail. the third surrendered on friday. these two were found hiding in a stolen van. a woman alerted police when she saw a matching description of the vehicle. a cargo ship that has been drifting for days could run aground. the next effort to tow the ship is to take place today. it was transporting 3,700 tons

around 50. so here's your satellite radar composite again, not the a lot going on for us locally but look to our north and west, some showers back there. this is a cold front and this is going to move into the area this evening and bring the chance for a few isolate showers around the evening hours and tomorrow morning we're going to be dry. so perfectly time for when most of us should be inside. 59 at 10 a.m., 64 at noon, 67 at 2:00, our high today 69, yesterday we hit 70 here in the triangle. so we'll be very close to that mark again this average. partly cloudy skies as we start off or sunday morning. here comes that line of showers at 6 p.m. it's still off to our north and west but watch what happens shortly after sunset those showers move into the area. this is 10 p.m. this evening so some very light rain, i think the best chance is going to be through raleigh and towards the virginia border and then the showers move out of the area.
