many kids in flint michigan have tested positive for elevated levels of led. people say they're outraged and just want to help. >> across the country thousands of bottles of water being packed up and shipped north. >> they need water now. >> this collection in raleigh is just a drop in the bucket of help the city of flint is seeing since the new spread of their poison news city water supply. >> we take water for granted and we use it so much. >> blanks organized a water drive on saturday and says it's the least that she can do. >> she understand this is not a permanent long-term solution. >> 15,000 bottles were sent to michigan, one of many trucks around the country head today flint with water this weekend. >> we're willing to get as many trucks as we need to get it up there next week but we're overwhelmed it's an honor to be able to team up with such great

>> volunteers say it's the least they can do for people who are now without a basic necessity. >> the truck with the donations also stopped in greensboro this weekend before heading to flint. well traffic was at a standstill for several hours near the california nevada border. this happened yesterday after 29 vehicle pile up. california highway patrol says 25 vehicles and four semi trucks were involved in the pile up along interstate 80. officers say the winter weather and snowy conditions played a factor in the crash. it's unknown home people are were injured but fortunately there were no deaths reported. and i-95 north all lanes back open. troopers say a truck overturned and spilled cabbage across the highway. this happened around 10:30 yesterday morning. the driver of the

your emergency settings our top stories on your monday two virginia tech engineering students accused in connection with the abduction and murder of a 13-year old virginia girl. an 18-year old is charged with first degree murder and abduction, a 19-year old faces charges of improper disposal of the body and accessory after the fact. the girl's body was found along a highway in north carolina just northwest of salem.

15,000 bottles of clean water collected in raleigh will arrive in michigan to help with the area's water crisis there. they're under a public health emergency after water became it started in 2014. the iowa caucuses take place today, the republican and democratic presidential candidates had one last full day of campaigning on sunday. they are entering today in a tight democratic race and meanwhile donald trump appears to a hold a slim edge over ted cruz. february is national heart month and the month we bring awareness to the disease in women with the go red for women campaign. but just how big a problem is the disease in women. one woman from here in the triangle shares her story. >> i had lost a son in 00 and i stopped going to the doctor and when i went back in 2007 i was

hadn't been to the doctor for 7 years, but -- and she sent me for a full work up, and that's when the ekg came back. >> a harsh wake up call. she never suspected she had heart disease. >> women the caretakers and don't take care of themselves. you stay on your husband or children but you sort of let yourself go. >> and her symptoms appeared minor. she says she never experienced any real pain, just feeling tired in general. >> a the lost women simply have feelings of dread, anxiety, flue like illness, so you know, very vague symptoms that are often easily blown off by patients and physicians when they're seen. >> dr. kevin campbell advises patients families having a history. >> heart disease is the number one killer of both men and women

now, as far as the temperatures concerned kind of flip flopped from what we see in the morning, so we're looking at cooler temperatures south of the triangle milder north and that's where we're seeing more clouds. 51 in south hill, down towards the sand hills 46. so here's our satellite radar, a broken line of showers really extending from central pennsylvania back through kentucky into northeastern portions of tennessee as well. this is a cold front, this front here this evening and it could bring us a few isolate showers. so here's what i'm thinking the daylight hours today dry, pretty nice for this time of year 64 by lunchtime, 69 our afternoon high we'll fall back to 64 by the evening drive home at 6 p.m. you are going to notice a little more cloud cover at 6:00 and can't rule out an isolated shower but i think most of the chances for rain come through later than that. so here we are

lunchtime 1:00 still looking at partly cloudy conditions. 6 p.m. this evening that line of showers just off to our north and west starts to move in around 7:00, 10:00 we are seeing some light rain, but this should be out of here by midnight tonight allowing us to see a break in the cloud cover by tuesday morning. i think we'll see more sunshine mixed in by tuesday afternoon. today ahead of that front 69 in raleigh, 68 in durham, the 70s around fayetteville, fast forward to tonight clued dee skies and just a few showers before midnight and looking at your three-day forecast tomorrow is ground hog day 58 degrees, 69 on wednesday ahead of our next front bringing us widespread rain on wednesday, a few showers on thursday and then the school air sets in 57 by friday. it is 5:22 right now on your monday morning. we'll check in with traffic if you're
