jones was found dead in her apartment are in may of 2013. . >> reporter: it took more than a month for both sides to agree on 12 jurors that would consider the death penalty in just a few hours they will hear opening arguments. three years after she was found murdered in her apartment the man accused of killing jones willing before a jury. police say the 23-year old murdered the mom of two in her own bed of police say jones had recently moved to raleigh with her daughter from tennessee. on the morning of may 14th, 2013, police say the then 8-year old girl left the construction crew. they followed her back and found jones's body laying in bed covered with blood. neighbors shocking. i

voter turnout once again proving to be very important in the caucuses, donald trump had a big lose yesterday against cruz who took the lead and for the democrats bernie sanders and clinton were neck and neck most of the night. clinton pulls away with the top spot. more on that throughout the day. bill cosby is set to appear back in a pennsylvania courtroom later today. his attorneys trying to get a sex assault case against him thrown out of court. owe opening statements expected to begin in the murder trial of a raleigh mother. she was found death in her apartment in may of 2013. police say that this man, smith, murdered the mom of two. smith could can face the death penalty in the case if convicted.

bars accused of opening fire at a home. it happened friday night of police say three teenagers all under the age of 16 were shot. the homeowner say she was throwing a birthday party for her 14-year old at the time. no one else was seriously hurt in that. a fayetteville man will spend the rest of his life behind bars after pleading guilty to murder charges. legrand appeared before a judge yesterday. prosecutors say he killed three people and wounded two others back in 2011. he faced the death penalty before his guilty plea yesterday. happening right now these two men behind bars accused in a home invasion. it happened just before 5 at a home on spencer road yesterday morning. police say six people forced their way into the home and demanded money taking off in a car that was later found by police. investigators say more arrests expected.

connection with three inmates escaping will not face any charges at least for now. the orange county california da a says there was not enough evidence to charge her. the woman taught english as a second language to the inmates. they escaped in california a little more than a week ago and were arrested over the weekend. some of the items found were love letters. >> as it turns out the love letters were found in her possession appear to have been written by nayeri and not by her >> the three suspect recess document as escape risks under very tight security. chipotle restaurant fans listen up the next step in rebuilding the reputation is already underway. the cdc says its investigation is finally over but at least 60 people got sick in 14 states. they say

i want to show you our radar because not a lot is going on, yeah, some cloudy skies have moved in. if you went to bed yesterday and into the overnight said hey there's a few showers those moved out as well and we'll continue to stay on the dry side as we head through the reminder of this tuesday. 7:00 this morning cloudy skies that really sticks around as we head into the afternoon drive home. not a lot changes tonight but tomorrow a lot will change. we're tracking a cold front and that's this band of heavy rain back to our west in the morning. that approaches our area rain really starts to fall right around lunchtime, continues to move across the area because we're going to be so warm tomorrow and this is a pretty strong cold front i do think there will be the potential for some showers and strong to severe storms. we'll be watching that closely through tomorrow afternoon. so here's the look at our severe weather outlook tomorrow marginal risk for all of central north carolina, which means it if any storms do develop they will be
