temperature of about 34 degrees. we're looking at highs in the low 50s so that's an improvement over what we dealt with yesterday where the high temperatures did not get out of the 40s and tonight temperatures staying slightly more on the mild side but we do have rain arriving back in your forecast. we're warming up into the 50s with some rain later today. now, as far as traffic goes this morning i think a lot of folks going to be sleeping in because of the late super bowl game last night. here's are a live look at i-40, where currently traffic is moving smoothing. we have no issues to report, so let's switch gears and take a look at your traffic all green across the board. and as far as your drive time goes, if you're heading on any of your eastbound loops i-540 to u.s. 64 that drive will

we'll have more updates coming up throughout the morning. >> i have a feeling a lot of people going to get a late start. the governor is recovering this morning after a crash in california that happened as he left the super bowl. . >> yeah, the governor has minor injuries after that crash. he was in santa clara, california for the super bowl. here's some video the governor's office released prior to his trip. the vehicle he was riding in was rear-ended around 8 p.m. local time. the car he was riding in was totalled. he issued a statement saying quote: while we are very fortunate, this puts the game in proper perspective. he declined treatment.

right now at least 7 broncos fans facing charges. police in riot gear used what looked like a tear gas. the fans hit the streets right after their team beat the panthers 24 to 10. jay gray was there and has a look at show. >> keep pounding. >> the whole atmosphere, everybody around, i mean, it's unbelievable. >> first the fans went gaga, then the lady did. the broncos opened the gaming with a long drive and field goal and scored again in the first quarter. the panthers got on track to start the second cutting the lead to just 3. both teams gave the ball away before half time, a long punt return led to another denver field goal, 13-7 at the

a half time that started with cold play and ended red hot with bruno mars and beyonce joining the show. if in the second half the teams traded field goals and late in the 4th quarter with the panthers down they turned the ball over again. the broncos pushed the ball across the goal line securing the third super bowl win and a second super bowl ring for quarterback manning. and as the celebration continued it became very clear that a driving force was to make sure their leader had one final championship ride. >> it's a a blessing from god for him to go out and win the super bowl, you know, and we definitely want to send him out the right way. >> manning says he'll take a little time to enjoy this win and talk with his family before

>> well we're in johnston county and things looking pretty good. we're driving past a school right now. these some county school buses. they haven't started yet of the roads, however, they're looking good. there was some sleet and a little bit of icing over here yesterday. right now we haven't seen any traces of that. the roads look smooth, no snow or anything to be said just yet. however, that doesn't mean there's not any in the entire county so you do want to be careful if you are heading out. wayne, wilson counties, they are all on a two hour delay this morning. this means all schools start two hours later than they normally would but do end at the same time, and wayne middle and

arrive as good morning. we are off to a dry start to our monday here around the area, a big change for some of us from yesterday. but all radar currently clear. the system that brought us some of that messy weather yesterday is sitting off to our northeast. morning. we'll see more rain it's 32 degrees in raleigh so sitting right at freezing. 33 in durham, 32 in louisburg, it's 37 in fayetteville. so our next cold front sitting back to the west, that arrives tonight. we will see some rain out ahead of

driver hit the car he was riding in from behind and totalled it. denver broncos the super bowl l champs i don't understand. they beat the panthers in california. a victory parade will take place tomorrow in denver. and be aware if you're headed out to lunch all chipalte restaurants will be closed until 3 p.m. today. the chain is tightening procedures after recent outbreaks. crews in raleigh trying to figure out what started a late night fire. investigators say it started in the attic. three people in the home did get out safely the red cross is helping them find another place to stay. today a man is expected inside a courtroom charged with murder in the death of his wife.

home, her husband is now charge and is being held. today three teens also expected inside a courtroom accused of throwing rocks at cars on interstate 95. a 17-year old, and another 18-year old each now facing 7 counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill among other charges. police say they caught them after several 911 calls reporting rocks being thrown on i-95 near mile marker 65. firefighters in israel rescued a boy that was left hanging interest a bridge support. a fire department official scrambled and described that the boy was hanging between heaven and earth after the accident. it took two cranes and several people to save the boy. wow what a sight that was. film crew blue up a double

everybody loves beer. i liked that one too. well, the nfl released its own commercial to remind people the excitement and love of football that it brings to the fans. all right the add opens up with a stat that winning cities see a rise in births nine months after the super bowl, the add stars a a choir made up of super bowl babies. they all sing along to sale's kiss from a rose along with seal himself. so there you

so i thought doritos was my favorite. >> i'm still going to have nightmares over puppy monkey baby. that was a strange one. so it kind of stuck with you for the rest of the game. let's switch gears and talk about weather right now. we've got nothing popping up on the satellite and radar at least in our area but we did have sleet impact portion positive of our viewing area yesterday mainly along and to the east of i-95. that system now sitting off to the northeast. not going to be an issue for us today but we are trackingur next cold front which is still sitting back to the west. this is going to push in later today bringing rain back into the the forecast later this afternoon. 32 is our current temperature in raleigh, 33 in durham, 32 in louisburg, fayetteville. and as we head through today temperatures will be rise nothing the low 50s which is about average for this time of year. we'll start off with some sunshine this morning and clouds gradually increasing

arriving after lunchtime and picking up a little bit early this evening before the wet as it does we may see a few flurries early tomorrow morning but today we're looking at increasing clouds around the area. still some sunshine to start the day. showers rolling through later this afternoon and into this the cold front moves into the area and we've got a chance of seeing a few morning flurries tomorrow, and again, much colder temperatures in the forecast for tuesday and even colder for wednesday and thursday, but we're dry behind that cold front. wednesday and thursday, though, likely not getting out of the 30s for highs. so let's break things down here. on our future cast showing things staying dry through lunchtime, after lunch the first showers getting here, then gradually the rain kind of slides its way to the the east and wraps up as we head into tonight, maybe be a stray flurry

super bowl win since john it's school bus driver appreciation this week. special events being held all this week for more than 800 drivers. more than # 5,000 students ride busses to and from school every single week so, yeah, they do a great job. we are still waiting to learn the name of the man who died after having chest pains during the first mile in the run saturday on raleigh. he later died. organizers says their deepest sympathies goes out to the runners families. the challenge is to run two and a half miles to the doughnuts. the run raises money for the north carolina children's hospital.

crane that collapsed in new york on friday killing one person, the 565 long boom was cut into 35-piece and the hauled away on a truck. meanwhile an investigation is underway and the cause of the crash has not yet been determined but the mayor says that the crew working on the toppled crane was doing what it was supposed to do while announcing new restriction to increase crane safety including a stricter wind policy. >> until further notice the cranes must cease operation and go into safety mode whenever steady winds forecast to exceed 20 miles an hour or gusts forecast to exceed 30 miles per hour. >> and a new policy for sidewalk safety will also be put into place. millions of americans hide ago financial secret from their significant other, 13 million americans have a hidden bank or credit card account.
