night. right now at 7:00 a nice day turned tragic in johnston county. the latest on four bikers hit by a car. the final pitches gop county is making to voters in south carolina. find out why unc basketball coach roy williams unloaded on a reporter following the game against miami. first breaking news on the campaign trail. nbc news projects hillary clinton has won nevada's democratic caucuses. the race came down to the wire with the former secretary of state getting 62% support compared to bernie sanders 48%. this is a big victory for clinton. we have much more from the campaign trail coming up in a moment. good evening i am maggie newland. our top story tonight is we have just learned new information about a crash that sent four cyclists to a hospital in johnston county on massengill pond road.

the latest. >> reporter: state highway patrol or is heading out this investigation. they tell us the four cyclists and men and women were rushed to the hospital. two of them suffered head trauma. the four cyclists were headed north on massengill pond road when they were struck from behind. the daughter of the driver offering insight. her mother is too distraught to speak. she was coming up over the hill and didn't see the cyclist. she panicked. authorities say alcohol was not a factor. following the accident, her mother waited on scene. all four cyclists were taken to wake medical hospital. >> she said come down here. i said raiderette? she told me 10 times i couldn't

because she was so hysterical. >> reporter: state highway patrol has not identified the cyclists at this point or the driver. we also don't know the stylistic we will have more, interview with the daughter of that driver along with neighbors coming up for you at 11:00. we are in johnston county, amy cutler, wncn news now. it is showdown saturday in the race for the white house. we just told you hillary clinton has edged bernie sanders. meanwhile, republicans are going to the polls in south carolina. nbc's steve handelsman has the latest from the trail. >> reporter: for hillary clinton a huge relief as nevada democrats gathered to vote in the caucuses today. the polls had narrowed. bernie sanders threatening to win again. but nbc news projected clinton to win nevada.

still in the 50s in the piedmont with temperatures in the 60s and a couple showers. we will pull out all the readers in you can see some showers doubt in south carolina but nothing really coming our way at all. so the temperatures everybody pretty much has fallen into the 50s with the exception of fayetteville and clinton. we have some clouds around and the showers are moving toward the east. it's a's upper-level disturbances with a cold fronts which will drop in late tomorrow and give us maybe a chance of some rain. your forecast hourly we will jump every three hours with 57, midnight 54 degrees, 52 while sleeping, 49 and then that is better than last sunday morning when we're in the mid teens. a little bit of sun but mostly cloudy. there is your first chance at maybe a shower tomorrow afternoon because this fronts will drop down towards us. there is your sunday morning.
