right now, the warm temperatures are moving out and chillier temperatures are coming in to start the work week. thank you for joining us. for the latest on the changes we can expect to see this week, we will start tonight with wncn meteorologist, bill reh. good evening everybody, we had a nice warm weekend it was 71 today, 60s yesterday. we are still not too bad, our normal time this -- our normal high this time of year is 50 degrees for there is a frontal system up to the west of us and it will slide through. we had rain in the middle of the afternoon that might put a activities. it is still 62 fayetteville, 60 the big picture. some of those rain showers we had earlier today, moving away, i think that will lose its punch over the mountains. the next bit of rain will come up from the south and southwest over in this area.

>>reporter:authorities say the gun man is 35-year-old jason dalton. the shooting started just before 6 o'clock at an apartment complex. the victim, a mother of three, now in serious condition per the shooting spree continued for more than four hours at a car dealership and a restaurant parking. in all, six people were killed including tyler smith and his father, richard, shot shopping for a new car. mary jo and her sister lenora mary also killed they spend their evening at a play. several hours after the first shots were fired, police apprehended jason dalton without incident. >> there was other evidence in the car as well. >>reporter:dalton was a driver for uber. one man claims he rode with him before he was arrested. >> i kind of jokingly said to

no rain in the immediate area. as we scan the state, a few showers up in boone, 53 degrees in asheville, 60s down to the southeast. what has happened is we had a little line of showers that move there today and advance of a cold front per the cold front is still up to the northwest of us moving through boo now one now when it comes to tonight, i think most of this moisture is going to get squeezed out. i will keep it dry overnight but the front was settle in and i will put an end to these mild temperatures we have had the last two days. right now we still have some of those low 60s we mentioned, clinton 62 smithfield 61 slipped into the upper 50s, 57 raleigh, 58 durham, 54 roxborough. all in all, we are not out of the woods even though we had a couple of those showers but i'm telling you these little showers right here should die out. there's going to be a moisture surge coming in from the southwest towards us tomorrow and will get here late in the day.

coming up here at midnight, what is interesting here is 57 hi i have for tomorrow. which by the way is 55 between noon and three. the official high will be 57 if we stay there at midnight. forecasting on the seven-day was a 55. speaking of 50s, all the way down to about 50 by tomorrow morning with cloudy skies. and then cloudy in the afternoon as we approach 55. maybe showers at 3 o'clock but more than likely we will see a few more by 6 o'clock is our next weather maker coming our way. monday night and tuesday is number one, then again we have a different one coming on wednesday with a little wall in between the two of them. we will have cooler air on tuesday, the rainfall amounts let's pick them up, as we picked us up from monday night into tuesday afternoon.

this is kind of an unusual sight here. a mascot convention brought mascots all around the world together today philadelphia. 138 mascots doing the electric slide . it's all for charity that raises money to combat childhood cancers. they broke the guinness world record for the largest gathering of mascots in one location. it has to be hard to dance in one of those outfits.
