>> the civil trial in the death3 of a baltimore city police officer is currently underway. norman stamp shoo by police near a strip joint. in northeast baltimore. two years ago. police say stamp pulled his weapon on police. stamp's widow said police simply overreacted. weather wise perfect weather out there. better as the weekend progresses. meteorologist emily gracey joins us now with the latest. this is good news. you are wearing your purple. and everybody is psyched up for the game sunday. it will be great weather. >> that's a positive outlook on the weekend. i agree. gorgeous weather in store. and great game in store for us as well. temperatures reaching more summer like highs by tomorrow afternoon. not feeling it this evening. we are down to the mid 50s in baltimore. 56 degrees. 67 in hagerstown. 59 in dover. and 57 in salisbury. very dry out there with dew points in the 40s. that means no rain in our forecast. very dry conditions. all weekend long. and it all starts this evening. 50 degrees for the overnight low. we will be warming into the

two people at a coovenience shop. officers caught up with the man. that's when the fire fight sttrted. the suspect fired five times at the officer. before he was shot in the chest. the suspect was sentenced to 30 years in jail. >> dash camvideo in missouri proves detrimental to police. it began as a traffic stop. police arresting the officer, or the driver rather, on a warrant. a relative asked apparently what is going on. she was taken down. now that tape, the dash camvideotape was missing for months. until it showed up, mysteriously on a city officials door stop. the officer in the video was fired. >> baltimore is welcoming special guests for the columbus day holiday weekend. >> you are hearing the band for the italian national police. here, and the mayor said a visit

70 degrees. mostly sunny skies.ú calm winds. perfect day to be outside. it will be that way for tomorrow. warmer though. on the saturday afternoon than on sunday. anddalso watching the ropics this evening. we have hurricane on the to. 86 miles per hour winds right now. moving to the east-northeast at 18 miles per hour. -nd while it looks like not goodnus here, i want to show you the track keeps it off the coast. so not a threat to the u.s. at all. large high pressure system keeping us dry over the past couple of days. will keep us dry this weekend is strong enough it will keep that storm well off the coast and away from land. and away from the u.s. so we dodge one there with hurricane otto. but watching the high pressure as it will continue to dominate the weather at home. plenty of sunshine. bodies tomorrow and sunday. we have a cold front pushing through the area. on saturdaa evening. but the cold front will not bring us any rain showers. just a few clouds. back side of the cold front. cooler weather.

warm saturday. sunday cooler temperatures. back to where we should be this time of year. upper 70s to start. and low 70s to finish it off. all the way across the board. pleasant conditions for the entire weekend. and toward the start of the work week next week. overnight tonight. ú%op down to about 50 degrees. under clear skies. calm conditions. winds light and out of the west. and clear skies continue for tomorrow. nothing but sunshine out there. and just a few degrees warmer than where we sat today. many locations may get up to about 80 degrees for tomorrow afternoon. and then by sunday, gorgeous weather. 72 degrees. ú%pical fall day. with plenty of sunshine. overnight lows will be dropping down to around 50. then warmer on monday. we have another system working in tuesday evening. that will bring us more clouds tuesday night. a slight chance of a shower. during the day on tuesday. but that's just a slight chance. i think, greater chance comes later in the week. more on when the showers may arrive. coming up in the seven-day forecast. jeff? >>

>> a study out of japan said that men are better at sweating than women. this is actually a good thing. unless you are actually standing next to a guy. they also found that women don't sweat as much, or as easily as men. which is actually a bad thing, if you are working out because sweat cools the body down, of course. >> more reasons not to smoke around your kids. california doctors say kids exposed to secondhand smoke double their chance of adhd. and kids with exposure had a higher rate of headaches few cats, you know, you don't notice them. but it is a lot more than two cats now. >> some frisky felines take over a pennsylvania airport. how they could pose a flight risk. >> one raven is showing his hear from ray lewis on [ female announcer ] this is a strawberry pop tart.

lee vieehigh valley international airport is trying to get rid of the cats. they do not know how many there are, but the real problem is the predators they attract. coyote tees and foxes cause problems for airplanes. remember the bird strike? a coach saves a girl's volleyball team from western kentucky university. headed to a game in mobile alabama. everything was going mooth until they felt the bus hit the rumble strips on the side of the road. and suddenly dip into the grass. >> pull the curtain back, we see our driver is slumped over to the side. and the bus is out of control. >> no word on the driver's condition. however, coach travis hudson said he reached over the unconscious driver and got hold of the wheel. he said that the motion knocked some of the girls out of the bunks. they are doing okay toniiht. other drivers said that they came within a couple of feet of hitting oncoming traffic. very lucky.

>> the ravens' defense started strong this season going two games before allowing a single touchdown. but they are working on improving stats in other key areas. the ravens have seven sacs this season. tied for 18th in the league. but this week's game against the broncos would be the perfect time to improve that number. denver quarterback orton leads in pass attempts and broncos allowed 11 sacs so far this season. >> we have to get there fast, more, and definitely more turnovers. you know, make more playsson the ball. more picks. just empty to keep going. no need to panic. only had four games. you know, we have 12 left. so, you know, not where you start but where you finish. >> one guy contributing big is defensive tackle haloti ngata. finished with 11 tackles and 1 sack. a game in which the ravens held the steelers to just 84 rushing
