karen,,he last time fireworks went off here in the inner harbor was the fourth of july... when a man was fatally stabbed and a four year old was shot! and city police don't want to see anything like that again! so this year - they're introducing a few changes to the new year's eve security plan. the biggest change is adding a large metal fence around the festivities - restricting access to visitors through nine main entry points. police say there won't be any security officers padding people down - or anything like that. but there police officers - both visible - and not so visible. 4:27 you will not see a large presence of underrover policc officers that will be in the venue making sure that people are saae and really getting people in, joining the fireworks presentation and getting them out and home safely 33 the police department's commissioner, himself, fred - bealefeed. police say the goal
