according to air traffic control recordings, spot ad drone yesterday evening next to the runway 30 feet in the air. >> two other pilot also saw drone they landed, rather. the pilot after delta flight from orlando says the drone was 100 feet below the plane's right-wing. this is really, really bad. all of this is leading senator charles schumer to call on the away from planes. >> this is elegant solution the faa can implement called geofencing. build in drone software the inability to fly within certain places, within two miles of an airport, above 500 feet. near sensitive areas. >> that sounds pretty reasonable. drones are not supposed to fly within five miles of an airport without notifying the control tower. >> there is call for action to stop the senseless shootings in our area after violent weekend

news conference for asking for emergency funds to stop gun violence on inner-city streets. before the weekend's violence the latest statistics showed a 10% increase in murders through july 27th, compared to the same period last year. murders were up 75% in the 75th presaint where the house party shooting took place. >> number one thing the mayor, the governor and our federal lawmakers can do is put money on the ground to these proven organizations. >> reporter: the mayor's office says overall crime is down and that office have been added to high crime areas. his press secretary said in statement, quote, the mayor takes very seriously each incident and directed nypd beef up its presence in this area. bill bratton addressed this on sunday weekend show. >> we need to beef this up. can't have the fiasco the 1970s.
