ben: officers returned fire and we have more of what happened overnight. > reporter: there is a person in critical condition. the st. louis police chief said that a man fired on the police officers sitting in an unmarked van and the officers fired back and the suspect took off and he fired again and the officers fired back and hitting him and he's in surgery this morning. gun fire in ferguson sent people running for cover. on the twitter feed, the st. louis county police department telling everyone to leave the area, and a st. louis county officer coming under fire and bulleting hitting at least two unmarked cars.

he's in surgery. we'll let you know what happens in ferguson. very volatile situation there. that is the latest, back to you. ben: thank you, robert. 5:07 now. new le released video showing moments before an 19-year-old is shot and killed by a police officer. texas police say that is chris tan taylor and jumping on the cars and breaking a windshield. officials say after altercation the officer shot and killed the teenager. the video is showing the majority of the events leading up to the shooting, they have not found video from the security cameras showing the actual shooting. they are asking the fbi to join in on the investigation. the officer is on paid leave. >> juliet: the two remains suspects for reported gang reports are in custody. they were arrested yesterday.

group that attacked and assaulted women before robbing them and they lured and attacked at least three women and a third man arrested on friday. ben: search crews back to hudson river and looking for a missing kayaker. 32-year-old disappeared while kayaking with his girlfriend on saturday morning. the daughter of grammy award winner lenex. the kayaks overturned. the daughter was picked up by a boat. jones is still missing and neither were wearing a life jacket. juliet: a drone spotted near newark liberty yesterday afternoon. ben: this happening again. it happened near jfk and newark as well. good morning, kerry.

the faa is saying that the drone was spotted by the pilots of four separate airplanes. this is still cause for concern. we have audio to play for you from air traffic control at the moment that the drone was spotted. >> drone 2500 feet. >> clear to land. watch out of the drone. >> reporter: a drone was spotted in the air. the audio captured the incident. >> drone was reported. >> okay to land. look out for the drone. >> reporter: it happened as the planes are making a final approach. it is 8 to 13 miles from the airport.

the faa rules do not allowing flying above 400 baez of the possibility of colliding with the commercial aircrafts. >> we have been lucky with no incidents, if this happens over and over again we are pressing our luck. depending on the type and the size of the drone, it could be the same as bird strike. >> reporter: the faa say that drone reports by the pilots increased, last week three other reports near jfk airport and the close calls are leaving the flyers concerned. >> interfereing with the air traffic and putting lives in danger. >> flying a drone near an airport is dangerous and illegal. the violations are fines up to $25,000 and criminal charges.

michael brown rocked once again by gun fire. juliet: four officers shot back. robert moses live in the newsroom following this story. good morning. reporter: good morning to you. it had been a largely peaceful day in ferguson, and then this. sent reporters and protesters right there. police say that a man they've been tracking and fired on officers stationed inside an unmarked van. the suspect started running away and fired again. four officers returned fire. the suspect dropped to the ground wounded. he is now in critical condition. we're told he's in surgery. it was a sad code to a peaceful day before violence erupted protesters gathered where darren wilson shot and killed darin brown a year ago. observed forand a half minutes of silence meant to symbolize the fact brown body lay in the hours.
