it was 93 at central park. newark up to 96. they have had a heat wave this year. but this time we are going for it. going for 90 again today. that means the heat wave will be here. 79 at central park. dropping a little bit, 74 at newark. dew points are a little higher this morning in the mid 60s. 63 in sussex. skies mainly clear right now and it is going to be a nice and beautiful day in terms of the sunshine. hot and sticky too. it is a point of being unhealthy because of the ozone levels. high pressure is in control. cold front to the west of us and not making it to the tristate for a while. hot and humid. isolated storms are not out of the question, but it is unlikely that is going to happen today.
