unrest in chicago, largely peaceful but hundreds taken to the streets demanding justice for mcdonald, is that caught on camera, in a city street at the hands of a police officer and it has galvanized windy city residents into demanding justice. with voice is raised, hundreds of protestors take to the streets of chicago rallying in support of 17-year-old laquan mcdonald shot by a police officer who fired 16 rounds. city, church leaders and a family of the slain teen appeal for calm. >> we are dealing with a volatile situation and we need to get ahead of it and address the issues. >> reporter: the unrest result of dashcam video released by the chicago pd and subsequent arrest of veteran police officer in jason van dyke. on a first-degree murder charge, he is facing possibility of life behind bars.

and the judge's order. the city of chicago has agreed to a $5 million settlement with the macdonald family. violence in chicago nothing new, basically the murder capital of the country, over a 400 murders last year alone. because of that and also prior to this shooting that there were calls for police superintendent gary mccarthy who is a former nypd chief and former top cop in newark to step down and those cries have grown a lot louder. that is the latest in the news room. kerry: thanks so much. overseas demand bogeys to have planned terrorist attacks had plans to carry out another suicide bombing days later. according to a prosecutor in paris, abdelhamid abaaoud was going to attack the business district. he is killed in an apartment in the northern paris suburb last week. another suspect, but the trading remained on the run. his brother pleaded once again
