have been a bunch of random slashings and stabbings. new yorkers are resilient and legal about our normal activity day-to-day. until this big guy that i know, he lived here in times square, trying to have a lovely evening with his girlfriend. on the way out he was attacked by a man on the greek. >> honestly it happened so quickly. you know, i just reacted. fight or float and i must fight kind of guy. it was do or die. >> the man asked him for money, then the man pulled a kitchen knife when he declined. >> he got the night off of the guy, and he was arrested. >> the nypd is calling him a hero.
