locations a few slippery spots for you in the east. it will come to a close at the morning commute, ending west to east as area of low pressure continues to head out into the a atlantic waters. we'll see a clear sky afterward. don't expect a monster storm. first full day of spring, yeah, might be a little bit catching some folks off-guard. but morning snow showers are out there. making for some slick spots. alternate side of the street parking rules are canceled. we'll see clearing as day goes on. 42 by lunchtime. 4degrees. quite windy. it is breezy as storm gets out of town. 65 on wednesday. next storm that comes through looks like it will be bringing in rain, late thursday into friday. so, yes, indeed. got a little bit of everything coming at us this week. this is probably the last of the snow we see for quite a while more than likely. let's bring in ines rosanna to see what is going on. wet out there but other than that probably not too bad.

the flakes are falling in babylon. we can't offer you tulips or spring fare but can offer you know-covered cars in the parking lot of the babylon train station. some people will leave home a bit early this morning as they head out to work to try to beat this snow, take advantage of mass transit perhaps. up to six inches forecast in extreme eastern parts of suffolk county. admittedly that will not be what most of us see. most of us only see an inch or two or perhaps three here on long island. some parts of eastern suffolk could see up to half a foot. there were some large flakes flying as we drove this morning. roads were mostly wet. they weren't too slick, with exception of an overpass or two. just be careful as you head over the overpasses. they may become a bit slippery. the timing of this storm really is the biggest story of all. it is really not the amount but fact that it comes right snack

almost 12,000 miles between breakdowns. not as good as 2015. new jersey transit says trying to get rid of old buses t has a long-range plan to replace aging railcars. >> retired pennsylvania sate trooper shot and killed two people on the pennsylvania turnpike before being shot dead by other troopers while trying to escape. the violence started yesterday morning at the fort littleton to plaza 65 miles to the west of harrisburg. clarence briggs killed a security guard in the holdup at the plaza. he was shot dead by troopers trying to escape with the money. he retired in 2012 with honorable discharge after spending 26 years as a state trooper. wow. >> we have new details how the deadly paris terror attacks back in november could have been worse apparently. >> yeah. the suspect who was taken into custody on friday, salah abdeslam tells authorities he planned to carry out more attacks. here is fox news correspondent kelly wright.

east takes of course a lot longer for snow to clear. we're not expecting a big snow dump for anyone even though it is still going on. reporting snow at central park. 32 degrees as of 5:00 in the morning. we have 34 in newark. 32 in central park as well as islip and bridgeport. if testimonies were below freezing we we have a situation where the snow would stick but that not case. winds light six, to 12 miles per hour. but they will be picking up as the day goes on. area of low pressure to the southwest. continues to head out into the atlantic waters. takes moisture along with it. we don't get too much out of it all together. brings us in the morning more nuisance snow showers and few slick spots here and there. most of us have less than an inch of snow. central sections of long island. maybe nor out to the east. again with thames as they have been lately, doesn't look like it will hang out for long. high temp up to 48. gradual clearing for the day.
