they will hear evidence. he was accused of killing his wife and her two young children back in 2013. their bodies have never been found. the state has approved a new scoring system for the fsa. they feel it's easier for the schools to earn better grades. to adopt cut scores from commissioner of education. a one to five scale and a passing score is a three. it'll make it harder to pass the fsa, critics say. schools graded by letter grades, a through f. and they lowered the points necessary to attain the grade which they feel will make it easier for each school to earn higher grades. another crucial day on wall street after losses.

region as we get into tomorrow, and friday, and saturday the increase in clouds, winds, and uptick in storm chances. over the next 24-hour, clouds, and a shower maybe towards down. and overnight again into friday. not as cool because of. blanket of it clouds. insulating into the overnight tonight. and over the next few days here. we begin to see the makings of stormier times ahead. that's the stronger secondary system here on saturday. and the little weak front reinforces the cool down as we get to monday, tuesday, and wednesday. here's the seven-day forecast showing that. highs towards monday, tuesday, wednesday, into the 60s. gradual baby steps to the cool down. windy and stormy saturday. and slight shower chance and we clear it out and call it a day.

>> reporter: they sure are, ryan. a group of residents just left their apartments right now. the red cross was offering them help. we'll flip around. you can see, a lot of them, at least 12 people walking out of their apartments. they have a massive police presence right now. officers continue to negotiate with the armed suspect to surrender. again, it's been going on since 1:00 a.m. this morning. it's an active standoff still. a public information officer is on the way. he is on the scene and being briefed by detectives. everything started with a tomistic violence -- domestic violence call. the suspect barricaded inside fired at least several shots to officers. i was talking to a couple of neighbors who said they heard a number of gunshots also earlier. as of right now, we know that luckily no one has been hurt. but, again, everything started from a domestic violence call.

they said that dawson died from a blood clot in her lungs shortly after leaving the hospital. there's an investigation into dawson's death. >> ryan: the mother of a missing child neglect. and she could be called to testify against the boyfriend. lonsy barton was 21 months old and was not seen since ebron junior reported him missing. and he was charged with child neglect and is going to be going to tried next week. >> amy: paramedics took a worker to the hospital and he they managed to secure the gas line. no one lives at the home and no one else was hurt.

rainfall moving in. melbourne setting a new rainfall record for the day yesterday, well over two inches. we have plenty of rain in store over the next couple of days. not one storm system, not two, but three and four reloading over southern cal and the desert southwest. the chance of rain and widespread thunderstorm activity starting to hike up. dawn. this is a secondary chance, bringing the rain chance through. and the reloading here saturday during the morning. another low moves on through. increasing the rain chances come friday into saturday and maybe early sunday. we'll find a light, slight shower chance. after that we see good looking weather. get a load of this. clearing things out. and sun shine returning.
