>> as far as the tactics of our s.w.a.t. team, i cannot say for sure what they are planning on doing. but, again, our ultimate goal is to make sure no one gets injured and really is in the hands of the individual right now. >> reporter: that was the sergeant here for the melbourne police and let me take you back and let you know, started 11:00 p.m., a domestic violence call and police arrived at the coral garden apartments and our man was the only one inside and refused to come out and residents were forced to evacuate and 11:00 a.m. the first shots came from the suspect and police say that he shot a few shots inside the apartment and towards officers and it has been going on throughout the morning and exchange of gunfire and now they say no officers were hurt and they do not know if the suspect was hurt at all.

shelley and adam philips, not related to the 19-year-old say they've never even seen him before. as of now, officers have no idea why he would target the couple. whose two small children were home at the time they were attacked. right now phillips is charged with two counts of attempted murder. also new, ocala police are on the hunt for a missing and endangered man who may be armed with a gun. >> ryan: 50-year-old robert allen baker, spoke to family over the phone yesterday afternoon and he made statements that had them concerned for his well being and he could be heading toward the ocala national forest and the 2001 read dodge caravan, there is the plate number, 865-3pr, is known to have weapons and is considered to be dangerous. don't approach him but instead call 911. >> amy: a man accused of dragging a police officer with his truck will be in court this morning. he was arrested yesterday after police say they recognized his

he's accused of grabbing officer richard fink during a traffic stop and dragging him along snide the truck. it happened early yesterday morning along kaley and division. police say they later found the truck abandoned and traced it back to morgan and now he's facing charges of fleeing and eluding an officer. the officer injured is diagnosed with a concussion. >> breaking news out of france, police have killed an armed man wearing what turned out to be a fake explosive vest at a police station in northern paris. and had a robot inspect the body to find out if it was real and investigators fear other attackers could be waiting to strike and officials say the attacker apparently ran at the officers at the entrance of the station and threatened them with a bucher's knife around noon in paris and now police are clearing out neighborhoods and ordering stores to close on the anniversary of the attacks against the charlie hebdo newspaper. stay with fox 35 for the latest details. a tense morning in paris.

>> amy: today, joe biden, janet jackson and we start with bill cosby cosby. prosecutors decided not to file charges against him in two more alleged sexual assault cases. one of them involving a woman who claimed the comedian drugged her drink at a party 7 years ago. cosby's attorneys maintain that he was not at the party and the other encounter happened in 1965 and the case has long expired. by california law the deadline for prosecuting a rape case is ten years. >> ryan: vice president joe biden, said he regrets not running for president every day, apparently but added he made the right decision for himself and his family. his 46-year-old son died in may and he announced the decision not to run in october. the vice president says he plans to stay involved in the presidential campaign. >> amy: janet jackson, rumors have been swirling through the surgery that postponed her world tour and sources are reporting that she is at risk for cancer, perhaps, throat cancer. in a twitter post yesterday, she said, quote, those rumors are

donor and started a transplant chain that involved 12 people, helping 6 kidney failure patients receive a new kidney. you talk about the gift that keeps on giving! beth galvin joins us live with more on her 6 month check-up. first of all, you are awesome! i mean, no other word for it. you are awesome and you have done a great thing and look at the impact you have had on people. that is amazing. >> good morning, i have had -- a huge impact on my life. i wanted to become a kidney donor and started the process a year ago, this week because i wanted to -- i felt compelled and wanted to show it was possible to do it without a major interruption of your life and probably, short of marrying my husband, the best decision i've made in my life. >> amy: wonderful. how are you feeling and how is the recipient doing? >> i'm feeling really, really well and he is doing really, really well, i'm pleased to tell

my recipient i didn't know going into the process but i was matched with him through the national kidney registry and it matches up people who have a donor, not a good match to them and they put them into a pool and create transplant chains all over the country. i was the first person in the chain and my kidney went to a man who lives in norwalk, california, a father of two and he's on -- a really active guy and was getting up at 3:00 a.m., three times a week for years before work so he could get in 3 or 4 hours of dialysis before he went to work because he was in kidney failure and he was really struggling to find a match and i was entered into the system and we matched and two weeks later we were both in the operating room, i was in atlanta and he was at ucla and, the rest is history! >> amy: okay, let's talk about down time and how it impacted you. i think anyone at home watching this is thinking i could do this and they think, what is the

>> the process, you go through a medical screening, first step, really you call the transplant center and say you are willing to do that and it doesn't mean you have to commit anything, you don't have to commit until you get to the operating room and they put you under at any point you can turn back. but you get the process started and i had my transplant surgery june 9th and i was fortunate. some people don't get paid time off, and fox was willing in my face to allow me to have paid time off so i could do that and i took six weeks off to fully recover from the surgery. because it is major surgery when you do it. laparoscopic but they have to make a large, five-inch incision to take the kidney out of me. but, you know, i had a couple of weeks of nausea and adjusting out of the hospital and spent two days in the hospital, two nights an recovered quickly and i feel really, really well and i

check-up a couple of weeks ago, and my kidney function looks good. i only have one kidney and it will never be quite normal again but they said at least on the tests it looks like my kid the function is almost normal for somebody who had two kidneys. and same with john. my recipient. in his 40s, he has renewed energy and can play sports and can travel without having to worry about a dialysis center and can coach his kids and his life dramatically changed and mine is so much richer and i'm hoping we'll meet at the transplant games in cleveland, ohio. hoping maybe i'll be able to train for a 5k and maybe we can run it together! he's a little more in shape than i am! >> amy: you look good, girl, i'm really proud of you and again, beth galvin, kudos to you for all you have done. thanks for sharing your story. >> thank you, amy.

man, and no one is hurt we know of. they took neighbors to a bowling alley where they are getting help and police say they are working to try to end it peacefully. we are talking about ten hours now. >> ryan: a long morning and a man accused of of a killing, there is a hearing, and, the person is duen court and the judge will hear several motions, one to throw out testimony from medical examiner that the state considers critical to his case and, he is accused of killing his wife and her two young children back in 2013. and their bodies have never been found. >> amy: the state approved a scoring system for the fsa and the board of education will adopt scores proposed by pam stewart and students will be ranked on a 1-5 scale with the passing score being a 3. and that is pretty much the same and critics claim the scoring system will make it harder for students to pass the test and

it is difficult when you are in any restaurant but particularly fast-food restaurant with the kids, you have to figure out what it is that you want to eat and find a booth to sit in and get the right meal to the right person, it can get chaotic as any mother and father knows. so, business insider reports chick-fil-a is doing the mom valet. drive up to the drive through and kids are herded together and you place your order and when it is ready you bring the kids into the restaurant, your table is set up for you, you don't have to make sure -- who has ketchup and chicken sandwich goes to the right kid or find somewhere to sit. they are doing it for you. >> dad? is a dad eligible? >> you know, i'm sure it is fine for a dad, too. parents valet. >> ryan: if you are a single day you can take advantage of this, then? >> yes. single dads should complain with the name. i agree.

meals is taking america by storm. >> ryan: to lu for more. >> luanne: good morning, a study shows companies trying to get employees to live healthier lifestyles need to come up with better ways to get them on the wagon. a study from the university over pennsylvania found when employers try to entice obese employees to lose weight it doesn't work. at least not the way it is usually done now. reduced insurance premiums and other financial incentives. researchers say more creative incentives might actually help people change their habits. the study notes workers are more efficient when they are at a healthier weight and get this: the study from cornell university found people who go to restaurants tend to order more food if their waiters are on the heavier side. researchers found diners with heavier waiters and waitresses were four times more likely to order dessert. and were also almost 20% more . rers say if you want to eat

school and went into take a test and how great to walk in after being on tv last night? >> reporter: a lot of people congratulated me and i got a lot of hugs and a couple of my teachers are playing my audition for every, single classroom! it is really, really cool to see that. you know? i didn't expect so much support. i mean, it is a really crazy ride and is not even like halfway over yet -- i hope! >> amy: so, just your initial impression of the judges, so far, what do you think. >> it was amazing. >> amy: all of them -- them. they were nice and sweet with the comments. and, like, it really gave me a lot of confidence, a lot of confidence and i was like, i was honored to be there. >> ryan: were you nervous? >> i was more excited than nervous, i was nervous because i was waiting to do it forever but i was more excited, this is happening! i want to do this!
