developing this morning-- deputies are investigating -- after a man is shot and killed in orange county. it happened around 10-20 last night-- at a home along silver star road-- not far from "evans high school." officers are still trying to piece things together. as of right now -- they do not have a description of the gunman. we do know that the victim is a 31-year-old man.

teen --accused of murdering two people-- is expected to accept a plea-deal today. the trial for konrad schafer is scheduled to start this afternoon. attorney says except the deal-- before the trial starts. years-old... when he was arrested for the murders of eric roopnarine and david guererro. and leesburg police believe they have solved a cold case--thanks to d-n- a. kenneth reed is accused of killing mayola houser nearly a decade ago. police say the now 61-year-old was arrested earlier this week-- in a drug investigation-- and d-n-a samples that were taken from him matched evidence found in houser's home. reed is charged with second degree murder... and is being held at the lake county jail. right now-- crews are still working to clean up

lane is still blocked. a car carrier errupted into flames around 9-30 last night in the southbound lanes in mims. firefighters say the truck was hauling at least 4 cars. the fire is now out.. and there are no reports of any injuries. a convicted serial killer has been put to death at the florida state prison. oscar ray bolin was scheduled to be executed at 6 o'clock last night... but a last minute appeal to the u-s supreme court delayed it. bolin was pronounced dead by lethal injection at 10-16 p-m. he was convicted of killing three women near tampa --nearly 30 years ago. in volusia county--tragedy on a high school soccer field. a 16-year-old girl suddenly collapses and later dies-- all during a junior varsity game. here's fox 35's tiffany teasley with

morning... accused of stabbing a young couple in ormond beach. 19-year-old michael phillips was in court yesterday. he is charged with attempted murder and burglary charges. police say he admitted to breaking stabbing the couple police say phillips broke into the home parked outside because he wanted to get away. phillips was arrested-- after his father recognized a police sketch-- and turned him in. a veteran is facing several charges-- including attempted enforcement officer-- after a standoff in

47-year-old michael taylor finally put his weapons down --and was arrested yesterday-- after a 12-hour standoff with police. close to 50 officers responded -- and an estimated 5-hundred rounds were exchanged. police say taylor was upset over how his dinner was prepared. no one was hurt in the standoff. a follow up now-- the family of a little boy-- who accidentally shot himself-- says he is making a miraculous recovery. the 2-year-old was shot in the face on sunday evening in st. cloud. here's fox 35's valerie boey with

hour... the president of france is calling for better surveillance of "radicalized" citizens... suspected of joining isis. he spoke-- following yesterday's deadly shooting in paris. officers say they were rushed by a man with a butcher knife. *n! h*jw utors say the man also had fake explosives strapped to him... he was shouting in arabic... and was carrying a document stamped with an isis symbol. right now --a cell- phone found on the man's body is being analyzed. prosecutors have yet to identify him... but they believe he is a 20-year-old moroccan.

waking up today-- after a historically bad week for the markets. the "dow" lost another 392 points. this has been the worst four-day start to a year-- for the dow... ever. worries about the health of the chinese economy and slumping oil prices... are making investors tight with their money. "powerball fever" is heating-up once again across central florida. it is now a 700-million dollar jackpot! lines are getting longer at stores like "buddy's lotto" on curry ford road. it is one of the three most popular places to buy powerball tickets in our area. the drawing is tomorrow. it is day two of "disney marathon weekend." today-- runners will be participating in the 10-k. that is 6 point 2 miles. the course for the race goes through epcot and the scenic world showcase.

county man... accused of killing his wife and her two children. that story kicks off the morning rush. luis toledo was in court yesterday for a hearing his former mother- in-law ran out of the room crying-- when toledo's statements to police-- about seeing his step- children dead inside the home-- came up in court. toledo is accused of killing yessnia suarez and her children back in 20- 13. he denies killing the kids-- but says he killed yessenia in self defense. toledo's trial starts january 19th in saint augustine. sanford police want you to take a good look at some
