the freddie gray case... is preparing for trial today. caesar goodson drove the police van where gray was found critically injured... following his arrest last april. goodson is the only one of the six officers charged in gray's death... to never speak with investigators. goodson is charged with 2nd-degree murder... which carries a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison. mexico is working to extradite the infamous drug lord "el chapo" to the the united states... after a hollywood actor possibly led authorities straight to him. sean penn scored a secret interview with chapo for rolling stone... and mexican intelligence says it was chapo's communication with "actors" that helped them locate his hideout. chapo was arrested on friday... after he broke out of a maximum security prison six months ago. officials say the soonest they'll be able to extradite chapo... is in another six months.

probation... and child neglect. :"=appear in court this morning. live in brevard county,dj, fox 35 news. breaking right now-- the world of music has lost an icon. singer david bowie has passed away at the age of 69. a family representative says that bowie died "peacefully" early this morning-- surrounded by his family. bowie had been battling cancer for eighteen months. the singer turned 69 last friday... the same day he released a new album called "blackstar." bowie-- who was born david jones-- came of age in the glam rock era of the early 1970s. he released dozens of hit songs in his more than 50-year career. in a statement... bowie's family asked for "privacy in this time of grief." the last night david bowie performed in

an investigation is underway-- after a man is hit and killed on the train tracks in downtown orlando! that story kicks off the morning rush. this happened on the tracks between colonial and concord. that's about 2 miles north of the amtrak station in orlando. orlando police say 26-year-old samuel perez hit by the train around 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon. he was pronounced dead at the scene. amtrak says perez was trespassing when he was on the tracks. the deadly crash delayed the train for about 3 hours-- there were almost 200 people on board. passengers we spoke with say they're upset: orlando police say cooperating with the investigation-- which appears to be a suicide.

coyotes is going high-tech. trappers are sending out drones above indian harbour beach to look for coyote dens. all this after a coyote was caught on a security camera snatching a pet-cat on new year's day. trappers say the drones will try to map the movements of coyotes in the area, to help wildlife officials re-locate them to a safer place. we now know the name of a kissimmee man who died-- after crashing his car into a retention pond. the crash happened saturday, along neptune road and meadow spring court. state troopers say 82-year-old jack bussard lost control of his car... traveled down an embankment and into the pond. his car sank underwater. he was pronounced dead at the scene. on the business watch-- volkswagen is working to clean up its act. the auto-maker's the new chief executive has requested a meeting with environmental officials... to present a possible solution to their emissions scandal. v-w says they have some ideas... to fix diesel engines that were e emissions tests. on the road-- the vehicles spew out more harmful gas

flooding in mississippi. they're sending over one hundred dogs and cats to florida-- to find them forever homes. officials took 105 dogs and 3 cats from a shelter yesterday--in an area in mississippi that's expected to flood. heavy rain is causing the flooding there... especially in cities downstream from the mississippi river. shelters from all over florida are taking the animals-- including one in marion county. in all, 8 organizations in florida helped to place those animals. new at five-- uum fury on full display... as the kilauea volcano in hawaii exploded. volcano watchers say it all started when rocks fell into the volcano's lava lake on friday. scientists say explosions like this only happen when the lake level is relatively high. thankfully--the blast is not risk to
