happened on east cypress. behind me the police said that the driver abandoned the car. luckily, the 3-year-old boy is expected to be okay. , to winter garden police the car hit the 3-year-old boy as he was crossing the street with his brothers to get ice cream from a ice cream truck. a silver sedan is the vehicle, and the driver abandoned the car and took off. this is what the little boy's brother told us. >> i grabbed him and wanted to see if he was okay, and i hope they found him. >> reporter: they said that the little boy has road rash from what happened. this morning they will be going throughout car, looking for evidence, trying to find fingerprints and the owner of

>> john: also developing in marion county. deputies need your help finding a missing teenager with autism. investigators said that she never returned home from school yesterday. one of the deputies spotted 17-year-old margaret lehman walking away from bellevue high school at 9:30 yesterday morning. the deputy took her back to school but they never returned home later in the day. shes with last seen wearing a purple and blue jacket, blue jeans, and a panda knit hat. >> john: new this morning, deputies are searching for a group of gunman. >> amy: after 9:00 p.m. last night they said that a group broke into a home on broken pine circle and held up three people while stealing properties from inside. un-with of the victims suffered minor injury, but they'll be okay. they don't have a description of any of the suspects right now.

out of jacksonville, new charges being considered after authorities said they found the remains of missing toddler lonzie barton. >> fox 35's andrea jackson has more. >> reporter: lonzies a mother and her boyfriend have been charged with child neglect and lying to officers. ebron led the the police to the remains. it was found about 10 miles away from where they said he originally disappeared. no word on how he he die ready? that little boy didn't snead to be discarded like a piece of trash. today we were able to take what we believe to be him from being disposed just like that in the hopes that he can spent his eternity in somewhere that's

10 people dead and 15 injured after an explosion in turkey in the historic district of istanbul. the blast was likely caused by a suicide bomber but authorities have not released a cause. that explosion is under investigation right now. >> john: peta is speaking out about the decision by ringling brothers to retire the elephants a year early. >> amy: they the circus announced they would retire elephants in may. that's a year and a half earlier than expected. instead the 11 elephants touring the country right now will live out their days at the ringling brothers elephant conservation center? polk county. 29 elephants are already there. the director said that the facility can handle the additional animals.

the car they believe is the getaway vehicle. the homeowner heard a noise in the dwraj and found conscious -- in the garage and found the man stealing sk l something. he fired a shot, but it's unknown if the suspect was hit. that's the car they believe is involved here. >> amy: determining whether a teenager who is accused of running down a police officer should be be allowed to bond out of jail. they were asking the judge to keep edward kelty behind bars. kelty es a attorney claims that his client didn't try to run down the officer and was actually steering away when anderson fell down. >> john: a sex offender who is accused of kidnapping and assaulting. he was sentenced to 35 years in prison.
