a lot of folks picking them up needed. it's easy to do on pine street. people are parking and officers are walking up to the car and picking up your donation. looks like we have another family donating bags. we saw a person donating two garbage bags full of clothes, very much needed especially it's so cold in some areas like gainesville, 20 degrees, especially for the homeless it's very difficult to stay warm in these conditions. let's see what orlando police had to say. >> this is the first time we had a curbside drop-off. but we have an inhouse program where employees bring in new or used blankets and coats. we do two things with those. we take them to the coalition for the homeless where they are distributed. but our officers come into contact with so many people that are needy.

it looks plain nice. 43 degrees. that's the temperature at the airport. temperatures in the i-4 corridor and south and east. a bit of 40s all morning long due to clouds. now, if you look on radar, we might have a few showers. that's what we call virga participation in the atmosphere that's not hitting the ground, much colder news. we're going to stay chilly, today, tonight, tomorrow and even tomorrow night will be chilly. on thursday, we warm up just a little bit. friday we warm up significantly. but with that, it looks like we'll see rain and possibly strong storm on friday morning. outside right now, looking live down town and once again, just a different perspective much the same beautiful picture, chilly conditions outside due to the temperatures, but also the winds predominantly out of the north and northwest and you factor in the winds and temperatures, we have windchills like we just told you a few minutes ago in the upper 30s, close to 40. officials temperatures, 29 in

for your children. a lot of water, added sugar in the form of fruit juice and they are saying, really those you should stay away from as well. they also talked about added fats and we talked about added fats all of this time. we know there's good fats. we know there's things like avocado, a lot of things where saturated fat is good to us. they stuck to the guidelines of 10% or less in those cases. i think one of the biggest changes people are trying wrap their heads around is cholesterol. we know cholesterol is not good. when it's high, we have an increased risk of cardiovascular disease but they couldn't find the evidence to make a recommendation to eliminate it or restrict it to less than 300 milligrams per day in our diet. that was another surprise that we saw in this particular new guidelines. >> and, doc. i understand there's an advisory panel to help them come up with

guidelines. how do they handle the advisory panel's recommendation? >> 571 pages. it came out last year. and sugar was really targeted. we knew that was coming and they did talk about the cholesterol, how they could not justify that in the new dietary guidelines. they talked about food patterns. they adopt that, talking about that wholistic approach but the one thing that was missing that a lot of people were concerned about, is a really hit hard back then in the dietary guideline recommendations that we should avoid processed meat and red meat. that was missing from the guidelines that we just put out and i think a lot of people were concerned about that, because not only did they speak about the bad effect from that, increased risk from cancer and cardiovascular disease but they also talk about sustainability when we look forward what is better for our environment, what is better for us, in general.
