>> great to see you. >> amy: what kind of things did charlie talk to you? b? >> it's bigger than today's show. i met with hill the day of his proposed an idea that he would go chase the cure. literally take us wherever he went, in his ambitious endeavor, trying to figure out a better way to live his life. it's not about hivy. it's about other demons that affected him. yesterday showed me footage of going his home. auditing his house. i think he stopped doing drugs. there's no alcohol in the house. he's given up alcohol. these are major steps for an addict but at the same time started to embark on alternative approaches especially treatment of hiv. the big bombshell he has gone off his medicationsly is a dangerous thing for a man with hiv to do.

able to do this? >> he connected with magic johnson. he believes he is risking his life that shows up another way to benefit people around the world. i don't believe it's a selfish move. it may not be a wise move. i'm arguing what he's done. he thinks the experience to look for alternatives have to be done. if this treatment works, my goodness you changed the face of hiv. that's what he signed up to do when he went out to chase the cure. that's charlie sheen. just to be clear we'll be following his story throughout the rest of the season. he's searching for a cure for hiv. i'm chasing a cure for him and there's much more to charlie sheen than the illness. it's why he did the things that maybe led to his illness. the tempting of death that's part of his persona. he confides with our audience some very delicate insights, about his childhood.
