and another is on the run... after a store clerk turns the tables on the suspects! this all happened around 8 o'clock last night... at the chevron station along south cocoa boulevard. that's u-s highway one. police tell us, when officers arrived on the scene -- they found the clerk had shot and wounded one suspect during a

negotiating their safe return -- which iran promises. iran's state-run media reports its foreign minister has called for the white house, to apologize for the ordeal. the ships were reportedly traveling between kuwait and bahrain in the persian gulf. it is being reported that the sailors could be freed as early as this morning. in orange county -- the driver accused of not stopping after hitting a 3 year old boy, will be in court today. fox 35 was there as "billy gibson" turned himself into police yesterday. he's charged with leaving the scene of an accident with injuries. winter garden police say gibson hit the boy monday night and left the scene because he has a suspended license. the boy's mother says despite a few big bruises, the boy is perfectly fine. right now-- sanford police are working to catch the killer of a convenience store owner-- who was t his business last month. people held a candle light vigil tuesday night in front of the store of 63 year old joshua hur. he was shot to death on december 23rd while closing the store to go to church with his family. people and pastors

together tuesday night to call for justice for hur's family. crimeline is offering a five thousand dollar reward in this case. developing this morning-- :y death penalty cases are decided in florida-- is about to change! the u-s supreme court ruling it is unconstitutional-- because it gives too much power to judges -- and not enough to juries. yesterday-- the justices ruled the state's sentencing procedure is flawed because juries play only an advisory role in recommending death. this new ruling could affect some central florida cases...including the death sentencing of bessman okafor. he was convicted for the murder of 19-year-old alex zaldivar in orange county. fox 35's tiffany

governor scott will travel to eight florida cities... including orlando and the villages. scott says the tour is the celebration-- of the more than one-million jobs created in florida in the last 5 years. the governor will be visiting orlando today. in the 7 o'clock hour of good day orlando-- he'll be joining us in our studio! this morning--people are lining up at stores across the nation... to purchase those last-minute powerball tickets. the next drawing is tonight... and the jackpot prize is a whopping 1-point-5 billion dollars! despite all the excitement... the florida lottery is sending out a warning. officials say people are illegally selling shares to group powerball tickets online. under florida law, players cannot purchase any lottery ticket over the internet, phone, or by mail. they must be purchased from an authorized florida lottery retailer in the state. and this is the highest jackpot prize in all of powerball history. lottery officials say the jackpot will likely go up one

a teenager accused of running over an orlando police officer will not get out of jail any time soon. a judge ruled that edward kelty will stay behind bars without bond. kelty is accused of running over officer william anderson during a traffic stop near universal last year. the incident was caught on dash-cam video. kelty's lawyers had argued that officer anderson slipped and fell-- but the judge did not agree. investigators in jacksonville are still working to identify whether human remains-- found in a wooded area-- belong to missing toddler lonzie barton. lonzie disappeared last july. his mother --- 26- year-old lonna barton --- and her boyfriend --- william ebron --- are behind bars. detectives say ebron is the one who led investigators to the site where the remains were found. an orange county man is out on bail this morning... after police say he threatened a pizza delivery man. the customer complained the pizza was too cold. then-- grabbed a gun. according to the police report the customer gave "broadway pizza" the wrong orlando

have been captivating social media users all over the internet. bear and human encounters are usually dangerous... but as you can see in the video--jim ko- wal-czik...and his bear "jimbo" are very affectionate. jimbo literally gives his owner a "bear- hug" and tons of kisses. the video was posted on "the orphaned wildlife rehabilitation center's" facebook page...and it's been viewed over 12 million times already. time to take a look at the stories making headlines around florida. italian authorities are now confirming a florida-born woman living in florence... was in fact murdered. the medical examiner's office released a report yesterday-- saying 35-year-old ashley olsen was strangled with "rope or cord- like object." her body was found

florence. olsen was originally from summer haven, florida... but was living in italy to pursue a career in fashion. police have not yet identified a potential pect the crime. three people are recovering in boca raton -- after a several aisles collapsed inside a "party city." it happened around 10a-m yesterday, just after the party store opened for the day. seven aisles collapsed like dominoes. all employees and customers were accounted for. firefighters used thermal imaging and k-9 units-- before determining that no one was trapped under the debris. it's still unclear what caused the aisles to fall. check out some cool new technology out of tampa-- one doctor is using a robot-- to perform hair transplants! doctor james slusher uses the "artas robotic arm" for his procedures. the powerful tool helps create new hair follicles on a patient's head. it also uses a high- tech camera... to target each and every strand. doctor slusher says the technology helps make hair transplant procedures more accurate. on the business
