use caution in lake county. and another crash at colonial and chickasaw trail. it's causing significant delays in both directions. use caution there as well. looking at the drive time, everything looking good on drive times. i-4 eastbound from the attractions to downtown, 13 minutes, and the 408 looking good as well. >> amy: breaking news right now. 10 u.s. navy sailors detained by iran are now free. >> john: ryan elijah has brand new developments. >> reporter: it all happened about 4:00 a.m. this morning our time. the sailors are aboard this ship. i am sure they are very glad to be back on. nine men and one woman under going medical evaluations. they are believed to be unharmed. two navy ships traveling near kuwait and bahrain. the navigation system reportedly broke.

waters. the revolutionary guard seized the ships. the sailors were reportedly interrogating all night after being released. and a jernl said that they were doing unprofessional and provocative acts before they were picked up. no one knows exactly what that means but they are back on their ship. >> john: a store clerk turns the table on suspects. >> amy: at the scheive ron station along south cocoa at u.s. highway 1. the chevron station. the clerk shot and wounded one of the suspects during the robbery. the clerk said he was able to fire at a second suspect as he was driving away.

he still got into a jab with the presidential candidates. >> i will try to make it a little shorter -- i know some of you have to get back to iowa. >> reporter: the president avoided the usual laundry list of legislative goals but congress has no intention of even bringing to a vote. instead, he look at the bigger picture. he dismissed critics that said that his policies have made america weaker. >> when you come after american, we go after you. it may take time, but we have long memories and our reach has no limits. >> reporter: south carolina governor haley gave the republican response. >> tonight president obama spoke eloquently about brand things -- brand thing. he is at his best when he does that. unfortunately, the president's record has often fallen far short of his soaring words. >> john: the g.o.p. presidential candidates were quick to blast the president on twitter.

we're on a bus tour that starts here in orlando today. 1 million miles for 1 million jobs. i said 700 jobs over 7 years and people said, yeah. we lost 800,000 jobs in four years. we have done 1 million plus jobs in less than five years but we need to focus on diversifying and helping small businesses. get rid of the sales tax when a manufacturer buys machinery. permanently. get rid of income tax. an llc and sub-don't pay income tax but the s corporations do. i want to get rid of that. giving you a back to school tax cut holiday and hurricane holiday. you don't pay sales taxes during those times. a small businessperson, you pay a sales tax on the lease. we're the only state that does that. you do these things, you will

>> amy: the president's state of the union, i know you didn't get a chance to watch the whole thing, but there's talk about the state of washington and how partisan the politics is and there's such a logjam and we'll not get anything done with the logjam. what are your thoughts? >> it takes leadership. the legislature, in this case, you need to figure out how to make it a win-win. i silt down with legislatives, you have to winning the people in the other branch have to win and the governor has to win. if do you that, if everybody figures out and has compromise, you get something good done. the president has not been able to do that. we cut taxes and regulations here in the state of florida. we work together to make it better for the state. our state it making it work. morph people moving here and more jobs.

people every month moving here. what kind of stresses does that put on the state of florida. people moving here, improving infrastructure has to be done. and we saw what's happened in the past when we grow too fast. what do we do? >> here's where we've gone in five years. i walked in with a an almost $4 billion budget deficit. we have $3.4 billion revenue over expenses. record funding for transportation and education. every critical off the wait latest that's developmental disabled. our economy is growing. people are moving here but they are moving here with jobss. we have 300,000 job openings. you do that, the revenue grows and you can make the investments. you look at i-4 project, it's way earlier than anticipated. we have the money to do it.

i know it's still early. jeb bush is doing better in the polls. 10% in one of the recent polls. do you have a feeling one way how you want to go yet, or you are still holding off. >> i wrote an on op-ed of why donald trump is doing well. what are the things people care about, jobs, education for their kids and public safety. who will win the number nomination is who has the right plan for jobs and absolutely destroying isis. we have to destroy isis. we have floridian, stephen so sotloff beheaded. we have to. >> john: what are the thoughts on the supreme court ruling of it's not constitutional. >> we'll review. and work with the attorney

remember it's a solemn duty to do capital punishment. it's something i have to do. part of my job as governor. but remember all of the victims. they've done heinous crimes. we'll review and comply with the supreme court decision. >> amy: what happens in the meantime? >> we'll review and see what cases it applies to and review it like that. >> john: take us behind the scenes quickly. if you can roll the video of the state of the state. i always wonder what it's like. are you nervous? are people saying, this is what you have to hit. what is the process? >> amy: do you write your own speech? >> first off, it's fun. you get to talk about what your goals are. >> john: what do you say to people? >> i say, vote for my -- billion dollars in tax cuts, 250 million more jobs. i didn't know anybody the first time.

you were all new. >> i said it took me a lot longer. >> you asked, what's your name again? >> now i pretty much know everybody in the chamber. >> john: that's funny, people who criticize you in the press climb over cameras to shake your hand. >> it's fun. >> amy: what is it like to come up with a speech like that. >> we have a wonderful chief of staff and people i work with. we look at what we want to accomplish. the message yesterday was the growing. best way to help the weakest, poorest, the most disadvantaged in the state to live their dreams is get a job. i grew up with a family without money, and watched my parents struggle to get a job. my focus is get more jobs. it's fun. run for governor.

yesterday. we'll have a wave of cloud cover streaming high overhead. it's evident we have extra cloud cover on top to kick things off. we have the makings of a spret strong storm. moving through out south of the texas area. that will spin up a area of low pressure. it will move our way by friday. what do we do with the timing and the intensely more importantly on this thing. along that boundary, by friday morning, we'll likely see showers and stronger storms breaking out. then the modeling taking the low across northeast florida and dragging the most inclement weather associated with the low and keeping it to the north. hopeful, that's how it'll play out. but if the low comes down, and

damaging wind gusts and isolated tornadic activity. not what you want on a friday or any time around these parts. today, the boating forecast. seas running 4 to 6. but a long period groundswell at 12 seconds. local wind chop. and all about the mounds of water moving around. the east northeast swell moving around. 2 to 4 feet. water temp down 60s. and northerly winds light at 5 to 10 knots. high tide 11:04. a 9:53. and drop low at supper time and another one at the dark of the night. the forecast for today, marion county, high around 60. high clouds making a move through the area.

edward kelty staying behind bars without bond. is accused of running over the officer near universal last year. the incident was caught on dash cam video. the the defense attorneys said that the officer slipped and fell. >> human remains found are being reviewed to see if they're from the missing toddler, lonzie. ebron is the one who led investigators to the site where the remains were found. >> john: a man from orlando accused of threatening a delivery driver. >> amy: it was over cold pizza of all things. he pulled a gun on the driver when he dropped off his dinner. we'll tell you what happened, next.

we announce a >> john: 7:45 here on "good day orlando." new reports say theme parks like disney and universal are stepping up security these days. they are hiring additional security personnel in an effort to protect their guests in dangerous situations. they have not released too many details but experts say we can expect parks to hire hundreds of new staff members.
