rain chance at 50% as a stronger gulf system approaches. could be a similar looking scene on the skies and weather radar early sunday morning. keep it here. we'll keep you upto date. let's go live to jackie orozco in the streets of central florida. >> reporter: we made a little stop here at altamonte springs because there's a fatal motorcycle accident. you can see a lot of fhp officers are on the scene. they have weatherfield avenue closed as they are investigating. the man's body is here as well. we're awaiting homicide detectives. we're told they are en route. we should be learning more information on what exactly caused the crash. as of right now, only the motorcycle is involved here. we're awaiting homicide detectives to get here.

driving along i-4 and seeing rain here and there and traffic was still running smoothly. that's why we made a stop here. again, a fatal motorcycle crash here in altamonte springs. they have weatherfield avenue closed at the corner of clemson drive and weatherfield avenue. once we get more information, we don't know if this was weather related or speed related, but once we have that information, we'll let you know. >> jayme: thank you, jackie. it's been some time since we've had appreciable rains. we have a lot of settling of oils on the roadways, and when we have rain, it makes for very slick conditions. and clemson drive, a serious accident, a fatal accident, unfortunately, at weatherfield avenue. and the altamonte springs area.

slowly increasing. generally under 15 minutes for eastbound and westbound i-4. westbound leg of the 408, rouse road to downtown, 10 minutes at this time. >> john: 6:04 here on good day. developing this morning, the mother of a teenager hit and killed in orange countying is calling for action. >> amy: she wants the area made safer. her son was hit by two cars when he was trying to cross near oak ridge. >> reporter: 14-year-old michael rodriguez was killed at this intersection behind me. john young and oak ridge. the intersection was very dark. the light probably had something to do with it.

the victim's mom said her son was wearing light colored clothes. she shared her emotional plea last night. >> my son died for no reason. i think that they need to put a lot of lights there. it's too dangerous. those cars are coming too fast, too much. >> reporter: troopers confirm that the roadway was very dark. the crash is under investigation. the family plans to hold a vigil foo their son this weekend. >> john: you decide 2016. the g.o.p. presidential candidated take the stage in south carolina for the first debate. >> amy: leading up to the iowa caucuses which will be february 1. >> reporter: they kept it pretty civilized. a couple of moments where they had sparks flying. the stage was a lot smaller. only seven candidate in the

and heading to an >> amy: breaking news this morning. authorities are searching for a missing 11-year-old boy from sanford. the quality of the picture is not that great. we'll put it up on our website as well. he was last seen wednesday in the 1400 block of oak springs lane in sanford. he was seen wearing a long sleeved gray and black shirt. green sweat pants and black shoes. if you have seen him, you are asked to call police right away. they are concerned for his safety. >> amy: crime alert. three people busted in orange county accusedded of reselling used tickets from theme parks. >> reporter: investigators said that they were buying used multi-day disney passes with

reselling them from a discount. >> that's crazy. >> reporter: according to the arrest affidavit, two undercover deputies went up to the ticket counter yesterday and asked for the tickets and paid $130 each. they were told they were buying someone else's tickets that had multi-day uses but were not used. they assured them that although the deal sounded, quote, shady, it wasn't illegal. the arrest affidavit told detectives if they had trouble with giving their fingerprints at the entrance to, quote, keep trying and if anyone asks tell them they beught the tickets from billy boys.

disney looked them up. they had already been used four of the five days, and disney security informed that all three suspects had been kicked out of their parks before because of similar schemes. >> jayme: accuweather forecast update. a very active scene taking place not only on top of the state but out over the gulf of mexico. you can see that line raking through the spur of the panhandle prompting a tornado warning. that line continues moving out towards our state capital, tallahassee, along the i-10 corridor. let's dissect the whole deal with the weather. a very active scene, as i mentioned. we have been trackerring this -- tracking this now since the forms inception. it's taken a few days for it to play out, and here we go. the rain is breaking out. the warm front continues to lift northbound.

heaviest towards tampa bay. a few nuggets sliding through and slickening up roadways. consider that for the early morning commute on this friday morning. this is going to be what i call the main event by about mid-morning. let's look at the lightning detection which is going off. we continue around tallahassee with an active warning. it looks like an ongoing tornado warning right now. that's the deal. within some of the bands you get a lot of rotation. there's a lot of spin in the atmosphere, around the panhandle, and beginning to develop. and we want you to be safe and secure. estimated times of arrival with the main event coursing through the panhandle. towards the gainesville area, closer to 8:00 or 8:30. then that slides down to ocala, marion county. and mounted dora, 11:00 a.m. through orlando, cocoa beach, from lunk time into the early

and it's a computer simulation as to how it will play eut. arrival time around the noon hour. sanford, seminole, all the way up coastal volusia, and raking through polk counties and the four corners area and the theme park region. if you are visiting, do know this is a developing weather situation. at epcot and disney and the theme parks, be mindful of the weather, and seek shelter immediately once this stuff starts knocking on the door. just after, towards the 2:00 p.m. time frame, raking through coastal brevard. drawing a bead on vero beach. after that the front sweeps out. the scawl line exits out into the distant atlantic to bring in a calmer, westerly air flow. by tomorrow, it looks like a fantastic day taking shape.

it'll be knocking on the door and coming into the fox 35 viewing area. the lightning has been prolific. flashing down into the southern gulf of mexico. the line, the radar beam cuts off, so we don't have a clear, concise image. lightning detection does not shut off. we show it all the way down into the open waters of the gulf. initially rain breaking out and then the big one gets here. ed tracking, gainesville and ocala, in the time frame of 8:00 to 9:30 for ocala. sooner for you guys in alachua county. we have a lot of viewers in gainesville. and orlando, 12:00 p.m. and then cocoa beach, early afternoon hours. then the entire thing sweeps into the distant atlanta and we say bye-bye to it. it looks like a decent saturday taking shape. but we have to get through the rough stuff first. mid to late morning.

bringing in the squally weather. by 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. it's much better. we cool things down, winds decrease and we clear out a lot of this really inclement stuff. temperatures through the 60s and 70s near 730 70 melbourne. 90% chance of shower and storm activity. then again, potentially, by early sunday morning. we'll watch that again. and then temperatures really take a dive into the 50s. lows could be down into the mid-to-upper 30s. that's metro orlando, so much colder on the outskirts. we have jackie orozco leave on the streets this morning. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, jayme king. right now in altamonte springs, troopers have weathersfield avenue closed due to a fatal motorcycle accident. homicide detectives just arrived here a few minutes ago taking

measurements and pictures of the accident. we have fhp,ality month police, and winter springs police investigating. the motorcycle is the only one out here. we don't know if another car was involved, hit the motorcycle and took off, or speed was a factor. but when we did arrive, the roads were wet. i talked to a neighbor who said she sees cars speeding up and down this hill every day. so, again, we're still waiting for homicide detectives to talk with us. right now they're quite busy taking pictures and measurements of the scene. this is a fatal motorcycle accident that happened just before 5:00 a.m. this morning. earlier today we were just along along i-4 checking out the roads. it was a little wet here and there, rain, but most of all, during that time traffic seemed pretty well, but let's get your full traffic report with jayme king. back to you. >> jayme: . jackie, thank you. live drive traffic time.

whether a case should be delayed. >> amy: . lewis to toledo is accused of killing his wife and two young children. he would face a possible death sentence if convicted. now prosecutors are asking for a 60 day delay to sort out the impact of the supreme court decision. >> john: a suspicious death as a homicide. the man's body was found behind a nightclub on wednesday. 43-year-old essex taylor the iii. police say they do not yet have a cause of death though. >> amy: volusia county deputies are searching for the person who shot and killed a family's pet last week. a lake helen's family goose and duck were found dead and then a cat was found dead. they believe that children were to blame.
