could cut fiber optic lines at levi stadium in santa clara, california and the attack would impact security to financial transactions. the memo comes as authorities in san francisco investigate about a dozen cases of fiber optic lines being cut recently. the fbi is also concerned about potential attacks on the crowds outside of the stadium but it should be noted they go through it every year and have to track down these threats. developing, a man is in the hospital after being shot by orlando police officers. >> amy: the police department said officers were forced to shoot the mantle. it happened last night on swiss drive in orlando, north of lee vista boulevard and east of 436. dana jay has been following the star and joins us live outside of ormc where the man is. good morning, dana. >> reporter: good morning, we'll working today to find out who the suspect is. meanwhile, last night, we spoke to the police chief about what led the officers to shoot the suspect.

complex near orlando international airport became a crime scene around 7:45 last night. after orlando police officers responded to a call about a suspicious incident. >> both officers arrived at the same time and were confronted by a man with a gun. he refused orders to drop the gun and they fired upon him and he was transported to ormc. >> reporter: police are not describing the suspicious incident that prompted the call. they say the man emerged from one of the condos and shots were buildings. >> things happen in the blink of an eye and officers have to make the decision and unfortunately our officers har -- fortunately our officers are not hurt but are shaken up by the incident but will go home to their families. >> reporter: people who lived here came home to a crime scene. >> i got a call from my husband saying there were shots fired, don't come home.

this morning rock and roll fans are remembering glen frye. >> john: the eagles co founder passed away yesterday. and ryan has a look back at his careerment one of the best of all time. >> ryan: the best we can do in a short amount of time. one minute to up s up his career is amazing. the music world is in shock, he's dead at the age of 67. it happened monday. he was suffering from several illness including rheumatoid arthritis, and also pneumonia. >> ryan: sounded great after all these years and best known as the founding member of the eagles and had some of this mega hits, "take it easy", tequila sunrise, lying eyes, new kid in town and list goes on and on and he won 6 grammys and they sold over 120 million albums. the eagles broke up in 1980 and he had a great solo career as well. 24 top 40 singles. the heat is on, is one so many think about and you belong to

and he tried his hand at acting and got a recurring role as the miami vice character years ago and you can imagine, musical stars reacting on twitter. i want to start with brad paisley and we'll take these full and he said sad and shocked by the loss of glen frye, thanks for the music that paved the way for so many others and lou diamond phillips. overwhelmed by the loss, glen frye, you a major touch stone of my youth and his music lives in the lives he touched, rip and steve martin, not just musicians weighing in, an important member of the eagles has died, he loved you, glen frye and travis tritt. a photo from the day back when he met him. and in his words, an eagle for a day in 1993. and we can't forget don henley who said he was like a brother to me and he said, as any family, there is dysfunction but he says he can't imagine a world about the glen frye.

temperature, you get a veil of clouds and temperatures have a tendency of going flat and rising in some cases, but that is not the case this morning. 31 gainesville and the villages 30's and datona beach, and deland, and the wind and you have the little thing we call the windchill factor. and the numbers on that are down as well. the dewpoints have really crashed out, solid 20s up north and 30s down south. the air mass becoming increasing increasingly, even more dry than by tonight. the cold really begins to settle in, plus i think we'll be cloud-free and see the phenomenon, whether we call radiational cooling and a little bit of the amount of heat we accumulate at the surface of the earth goes freely into outer space and then, that is when the cold comes rushing in and we will feel it. again, wind up and up in some spots and generally under about 15 or 16 miles per hour but doing damage to the windchill, current values in the the 20s up north and 30s and 40s down

a chilly start for alachua county for sure and guys, to be honest you have seen nothing yet. the windchill factor down through the 20s up forth and 30s and 40s. and, oia, 39 at lakeland where the wind picks up. brisk indeed and one of those days, if the clouds happen to thicken, just saying, if they thicken up, 50s, mid 50s, that could be an issue by 2:00. like an issue as in, we may not be close to that. so i'm going again with the blend of sun and clouds, early, i'm confident that we'll lose some of the cloud cover. as we adjust some of that down to the south. you can see now the line here, making progress, slowly settling southbound. all tied to what we call a jet of energy here, in meteorology, and the jet is focusing, the cloud cover clearly across the region with a weak front buried in there. and, at times it can be hard to

punch of energy up and out of the gulf. cloud cover at times, streaming high overhead and it is important to note a freeze warning goes into effect later tonight, from bushnell, ocala, and out toward palm coast, respectively, sumpter county, marion and flagler county, freeze warning tonight, late tonight through early tomorrow morning and gainesville, this is a hard freeze. and when we determine the difference between a freeze warning and a hard freeze it is about how low the temps will go and for what duration of time. as we look again, potential for gainesville, 8 to 10, and looks like 3 to 5 hours in that confine of 8 to 10 will be around 27 degrees or colder. and a solid four hours of freezing conditions at ocala, bushnell the same at 4, sumpter county and palm coast, more of the same. we'll get close, near freezing readings around some of the more open rural areas outside of metro orlando, that is where i think we may have issues with
