>> john: it happened at the ken kensington oaks apartment. >> reporter: good morning. we're working with sanford police trying to get a description of that suspect. as of right now, we just know two people were shot. one woman was stabbed in her hand and the other person was pronounced dead at the scene. the neighbors said it happened right next door. there are some lights on right now. she said she heard -- her boyfriend heard all the commotion right next door. they were several detectives conducting the investigation throughout the night. when they have arrived a the the kensington oaks apartments they found a woman and gunshot. wounds and stabbed in the hand. another man was discovered with gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene. this is that the next door neighbor told us after her

boyfriend heard a lot of suspicious noise. >> there was a lot of commotion going on next door. he call 911 because he heard someone say, they got shot, or somebody is dead. he was looking and he saw someone running in and out and kids were crying. >> reporter: the neighbor said threeftd five or six kids stay next door. the concern right now is of those kids. we'll stay on top of the developing story and we'll bring you the latest. 66-year-old man eye keuzs of -- accused of assault. it happened in the hallway. they want to know if there are any other victims out there. >> someone with you in a position of trust and do that

can take quite a while with the courage to come forward. >> they discovered the orange county district selected sharp in 2000 for allegedly allowing multiple students to sit on his lap. they have requested his file but have not commented on the latest allegations. a man accused of shooting a truck driver in a store is in court. back in october, police say that rivera was carrying money out of the store and mcgee shot him several times and took off with the cash. riveras survived and is expected to make a full recovery. a woman is scheduled to make a plea deal. two other teens were charged in the attack.

the prosecutors said they attacked a 17-year-old boy outside of his home because they thought he stole marijuana from them. in volusia county, a hunter said he accidentally shot and killed his friend. >> this happened in some woods near oak hill. the sheriff's helicopter led to the exact spot of the shooting yesterday afternoon. a swampy area nearly three miles from the main road there. the wounded hunter was to announced dead at the scene. his friend who accidentally shot him is 56-year-old. they said it appears to be an accident but they are still investigating what happened. leaders are trying to figure out what to do with dozens of homeless people who have camped outside of the administration center.

not the case with any wind chill factor business. |jm*t numbers quite low in regards to the wind speeds but fairly light and variable or even dead calm. dry skies, much, much warmer. we have solid, low, maybe mid-70s in some locales. if you are lucky enough to be on the golf scene. we have chilly sunshine by 9:00. better, and even better yet by around 3:00 p.m. 72 there. and we find highs pegging out into the low to mid-70s. the golf forecast is on par, no pun intended. national temp, brrr is the word, the eastern third of the nation. we're transitioning the local weather atmosphere and into the gulf south and the eastern seaboard. the large story that john and lu read about the major snowstorm, it's slowly coming to fruition.

arrest three people and seize a jug of moonshine all because it was advertised on facebook. >> john: the man who posted about the moonshine was in jail. a man was posting information on the liquor on his facebook page. the deputies called. his girlfriend was selling the moonshine to raise money for his bail. they found a 5-gallon jug of the hard liquor. she admitted to buying the moonshine from someone else. who happened to be a an employee at a low distillery. he admitted that he had been selling it for meth. they are all new in jail. >> we need a graph for that story. >> luanne: a committee near florida road and barwhich can in debary.

>> luanne: all new this morning, sanford police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead inside of an apartment. >> john: this happened around 10:30 at the kensington oak oak aapartments. east of downtown sanford. and fox 35's jackie orozco is live on the scene. >> reporter: as of right now still a developing story. sanford police are not releasing too many details right now. they don't want to jeopardize the case. they have not even told us how many people they're looking for in the shooting. that's the apartment where it happened, where the light is turned on. we spoke to the next door neighbor and she said that her neighbor heard all of the commotion and kids crying when this happened. let's look at video from earlier. you can see a lot of detectives here conducting the investigation through the night. they arrived here at the kensington oaks apartments and found a woman in her late 20s

with gunshot wound to her hand. another man was discovered with gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at the scene. this is what the next door neighbor told us a little while ago. >> i have been here for going to be three years now. never, nothing has happened like this at all. i have never been so close to something like somebody being shot next door. it's just weird. >> reporter: she said it was odd that it happened here. it's a quiet neighborhood. a lot of families live in this neighborhood. we're trying to find the motive of the shooting with the sanford police and who they are looking for. we'll let you know when we get the information. reporting live in sanford, jackie orozco, fox 35 news >> luanne: we're following some breaking news. our sister station down in miami reporting that a miami police officer has been stabbed. it happened at the magic city casino. the officer was stabbed in the face. the officer is expected to survive. that's the great news.

the suspect is in custody. >> john: also we're learning more about a violent dog attack that critically injured a woman in sanford >> luanne: sanford police say there were six pit bulls and at least six people inside of the stone brook apartment during the attack on tuesday. five of the six dogs were mauling the woman when the police arrived on the scene. to help that woman, and get the dogs off of her, an officer shot all of the dogs. five were hurt including two children, in all. school. a crash happened on oak ridge east of the turnpike. orange county fire rescue tells us no kids were on the bus. >> luanne: a high tech plan to catch coyotes is on hold. they may have killed several pets.
