new this morning-- seven people are alized-- after an american airlines plane from miami to milan had to make an emergency landing in canada. the boeing 7-67 was carrying more than 200 people when it ran into heavy turbulence last night. american airlines spokesman says three flight attendants and four passengers were taken to the hospital. the spokesman says he doesn't think any of the injuries were life threatening. happening today-- some teachers in volusia county will tart their morning outside of the classroom. staff members are staging a "walk-in"-- to ask the district to make major improvements in education. fox 35's keith landry has the details.

today-- we are expecting to the learn the name of a woman shot and killed inside a sanford bar. it happened just before midnight on saturday at the "cool breeze bar" on sipes avenue. last night...30-year- old james pritchard was arrested. he is facing a charge of second degree murder .. and shooting into a public building. c1h|friends and family held a small vigil to remember the woman last night.

teddy bear-- were placed outside the bar to honor their loved one. developing this morning-- the state fire marshal is investigating -- after flames break-out inside of a vacant y- m-c-a that was set to become a mosque. the fire happened at the former y-m-c-a on derbyshire road, west of nova road in daytona beach. dr. saud sulayman of the islamic center of daytona beach says the group purchased the building 7 years ago. they had just gotten city approval in october to convert it to a mosque and community center. but now--those plans are set back. the damage was mostly confined to one room... so sulayman hopes they were being targeted. officials say they are not investigating this as a hate crime. the florida council on american islamic relations released a statement saying in part-- "with the heightened

"dirty grandpa," ... and "the boy." time to take a look at the stories making headlines around florida. a miami-area man is behind bars-- accused of pledging allegiance to isis-- and plotting to murder his boss. 20-year-old enrique dominguez was arrested on friday. according to the miami herald-- dominguez allegedly told a co-worker he was "pledging allegiance to allah"-- and even showed-off isis execution videos. miami-dade police say dominguez claimed he was planning to dress-up as the "joker" character-- from the batman movies-- before coming to work and killing his supervisor. when police searched his home-- they found a bag with hunting knives .. and a clown mask. on saturday-- a judge granted him 5-thousand dollars bond-- with house arrest. protestors are gathering today in downtown orlando... to urge local lawmakers to stop legislation against planned parenthood. this week in tallahassee-- the florida house

on a new bill-- that would put strict regulations on physicians and clinics that perform abortions. officials from planned parenthood say the group will meet outside representative mike miller's office-- asking him to oppose that bill. the protest kicks off this morning at 10-30. a former "university of florida" football player is arrested in sumter county-- after troopers find marijuana in his truck. 35-year-old derrick "jabar" gaffney was stopped on i-75, near the intersection of the florida turnpike friday afternoon. when troopers approached his truck-- they noticed a strong smell of marijuana. inside-- troopers found the drug --and other paraphernalia. he was taken into custody and later released. gaffney also played for 5 n-f-l teams during his career. coming up at 5-- we are seeing some freezing temperatures in central florida. the details in your
