southbound 527, an accident at sand lake road. drive times, eastbound, westbound i-4 in the red. to downtown, eight minutes. westbound 408 at 22 minutes. more on our website fox35orlando.com. john: developing right now, six people recovering after an overnight gas leak in orlando. amy: it started at an apartment building on walden circle at 3:00 this morning. jackie orozco is letting us know how things are now. reporter: a total of six people were poisoned by the carbon monoxide. i've been trying to get in touch with management. there was a couple of managers on scene, but they didn't want to speak with us. let's look at video. you can see how active it was. police say a family of four from this apartment building at the

is under renovation, firefighters say they got a call about 2:45 this morning in reference to a gas leak. firefighters say construction workers left a generator on and in turn poisoned six people with carbon monoxide. firefighters evacuated the building and two more people were taken to the hospital. that came up with a total of six people that were treated. they are all expected to be ok. so, again, we're still trying to stay in touch with managers and trying to get an idea if those people were able to go back to the apartments and what's going to happen next. for now, reporting live in orlando, jackie orozco. amy: the woman who sued casey anthony for defamation is in jail. amy: zenaida gonzalez and her

received a complaint from a man that his 64-year-old friend was in hospital for cancer treatments and got a call from his bank about suspicious government. gonzalez and her boyfriend admit to going on a two-day shopping spree. if investigators find them guilty, they could spend up to five years in prison. the search continues for a missing mild from central florida that authorities could be in danger. amy: 3-year-old xander quigley disappeared from palm coast on friday. he's believed to be with the boy's mother, natasha and her boyfriend gary bullock. quigley. at. happened. he says he is still in shock. >> i knew that natasha was seeing this guy, but i didn't

he is the best debater on that stage. he is trailing trump. two hours ago there was a poll in iowa, trump 32%, ted cruz at 25%. the fox news 7 poll has been even closer than that. cruz has been hammering trump since this word came out tuesday night, saying he's afraid me, afraid to take on hillary clinton. bring it on. i think ted cruz could be the big winner or big loser. he's already challenging trump to another debate saturday night. a superpac supporting cruz says they will put up $1.5 million, will give it to veterans if you show up. we'll have to watch. may be a bonus debate this weekend. john: thanks. caroline. amy: she should be resting. john: bernie sanders -- red hot chili peppers and vampire weekend -- i know the first one, not the second.

that includes two people in miami-dade county. one person in the tampa area. everyone who tested positive did travel to infected areas. the virus is infecting latin america and -- >> the idea of endemic transmission in the united states is within the realm of possibility. amy: zika can be transmitted if a local mosquito bites someone with the virus and then goes to the next person. the president is calming on researcher -- calling on researchers to step up and -- jayme: that was downtown orlando, orange avenue, looking a little on the damp side.

contrast to what is firing across far south florida. that's a line of rather frisky and vigorous thunderstorms. that could bring about a tornado threat and a damaging wind threat as we go through the next hour or two. it has been a nonevent for you guys in north central florida. it has been much drier as you go north of orlando. but not the case in eastern central florida as fog is thickening and the rain chances are rising. i'm tracking it for you guys in broward county. it's moving through the kissimmee area. melbourne, this light rain will get in your neck of the woods in about 33 minutes. cocoa beach about 56 minutes. you can see the numbers and what's beginning to play out. everything south of the cape about to trend a little bit wetter overall.

actually pretty comfortable. what's happened is the dew point temperature has equalized with the ambient air temp. you've got holy cow, we've got fog. that's the deal right now, especially back in through here. you can see it has improved some, orlando thickening northern coast of volusia. at long bow we continue with a bit of sea fog. that's on the minds of many to our west. clouds and rain chances remain high until the afternoon. then skies gradually clearing tonight. colder air mass getting in tonight. by tomorrow morning i think we see more in the way of sunshine. we dry out by noon friday, mostly sunny skies.

visit our website for pump patrol pricing fox35orlando.com. amy: your help is needed to help find two people who robbed a taxi driver. reporter: we're here with the executive director of crime line. good to see you. jane, we'll show you this video, but basically they rob the taxi driver at gunpoint. >> it happened the early morning hours of january 12. that was a very cold night. when the suspects got in the car, you'll see they are bundled up. that did not seem unusual to the tax cab driver. as soon as they -- taxi cab driver. the male and female suspect -- he pulls a gun, demands cash. she complies and they grab the cash and run off. our detectives think somebody knows who that male suspect is because you can see the female is heavily, heavily bundled up.

reactions to the like feature. reporter: there's not a dislike button, but facebook is adding new six buttons so users can express in different ways. they will get other options, including ha ha, yay, wow, angry sad. there's also going to be a love button. it's not an emoji but it's a heart there. now, when you hover over them, they will wiggle and jiggle so people understand what expression you're trying to exude. the company says they are not releasing when the emojis will be available. but tech experts say we can expect them to come out in a matter of weeks. which ones do you @ best? amy: ha ha is a little weird. john: yeah.

here at the apartment complex behind me in that yellow building. it's clear right now, but those six people were treated right here at the walden palms condominiums. let's look at some video so you can see firefighters and orlando police were here around 2:40 this morning. firefighters say construction workers left a generator on which produced a gas and in turn six people were affected and had the carbon monoxide poisoning. police say family of four from the apartment building drove themselves to the hospital after feeling sick. two more people were taken to the hospital for the same reason. again, six people were treated for the carbon monoxide poisoning. they are expected to be ok. we're staying in touch with the management to find out what the next steps are. reporting live in orlando,

john: voters will get to decide whether to make medical marijuana legal in florida. big numbers here, ryan. reporter: it looks like they did get the numbers way wanted. supporters did finish submitting enough valid signatures to get it on the ballot. it was spearheaded by local attorney john morgan. according to the florida division of elections website, supporters of the proposal turned in almost 10,000 more signatures than they actually needed to get on the ballot. in that e-mail we told you about john morgan writing to supporters, i told you when we came up short in 2014, we would win the war. he says now campaign officially begins. a similar amendment on 2014 fell short on the ballot from the 60% of florida voters needed to approve the amendment. morgan will hold a press

look for that on fox 35 news and look for more ads as we get closer to election day. amy: fantasy sports betting could become legal in florida. house and senate panels voted in favor of bills that would allow and regulate online fantasy sports contests. there's question over whether or not it is gambling. the legislation would cover both season-long fantasy football and baseball leagues. supporters say the legislation is needed. get ready to hit the green with cool products and hottest looks. john: huge golf convention taking place right now at the convention center. david, 40,000 to 50,000 people. he's talking to somebody. millions of people there. he's there with someone from -- is it awe dee das or adidas?

could cause your computer to get a virus. we're talking about this bee-like bill. you can click the link to create your own bill-like meme. the company's privacy policy allows them to access your facebook profile. the private information on your profile can be used to steal even more sensitive information like your credit card number. plus, similar websites can create content that gives your computer a virus. the better business bureau says to avoid this problem, never click on unfamiliar websites and avoid articles and memes that seem too good to be true. if you think your facebook page has been compromised, change your password and report it to facebook immediately. >> this is not good. these things are everywhere. you have to be nervous when everyone is doing something.

we'll have our moments like yesterday we had a nice lull. we had more rain over the gulf, then stream our way. this is a vigorous line of showers toward the southern tip of the peninsula. a marginal risk of damaging winds, even isolated tornadoes like yesterday. so 50's up north. 60's south of that point. today we'll see highs in the low 70's for a lot of us. clouds and rain chances remain high through midday. then the chances drop because a cold front will come through as we go into the overnight hours. evening showers, clearing late. by 8:00 tomorrow morning we shut off the rain cap, bring in partly cloudy skies. from that point on we see ample sunshine, setting stage for a nice weekend. the forecast shows the rain going that way, northwest winds
